I also suggest that you clean bobbin case. Now, when needle is "stuck", this requires patience and care in "jiggling" the hand wheel to and fro until needle point begins to clear the jammed area. Carefully snip one thread that moves up under needle and jiggle hand wheel by carefully turning hand wheel toward you to see if you can move the take-up lever all the way up to the UP position. Look at bobbin case area and remove bobbin. Cut bobbin thread and remove bobbin case. Sweep gently with brush underneath case and carefully, gently sweep over the feed dogs, poking very ends of brush bristles into "teeth" area to remove lint, fuzz ball/s, and any loose thread/s.
Raise presser foot, remove (possibly bent) needle. Insert new needle of appropriate size for fabric weight. Make sure needle pushed all the way up into needle bar groove, at side to back. Keep presser foot RAISED while rethreading. This allows thread to locate tension discs, and HOLD THREAD TAUT.
Replace bobbin, making sure thread is EVENLY distributed on it. Imablanced bobbins cause jams, and bobbins with burrs and scratches can real havoc as well as the hook part of the shuttle where the bobbin fits. Smooth such areas with emery cloth carefully, ever so gently.
Hope my suggestions are a solution for you.

Shark 384 - how can i get a straight stitch?
with the Shark Euro-Pro X machine, you need to bring the stitch width to zero it's the nob on top of the machine the manual states not to use it wider then 3 with the double needle cause it can break the needle. but either stitch selection "A" or "S" will give straight stitching with width at zero.

either your bottom tension is very tight (normally shouldn't need to be adjusted unless someone has altered it already) or the top tension is too loose. Check top tension first, is it set to 4 or 5? Check top threading up, making sure you thread with the pressure foot raised so the thread can seat into the tension device fully. Now lower the pressure foot and pull the top thread downwards from just before the needle. Is it firm to pull? If it pulls easily there is a problem with your top tension device. You may be able to clean it out if the discs are accessible. To do this, remove the thread, raise pressure foot and turn tension dial to zero. Now floss between the discs using the selvage edge of a clean piece of cotton fabric. If it comes out with some black gunk, clean again. You may wish to moisten the fabric with some denatured alcohol to aid the cleaning. When the flossing is giving you a clean edge, you can try rethreading up. Don't forget to reset the tension back to normal setting, usually 4 or 5. Thread up again and test sew.If you have done this and its still stitching out of tension then you can look at the bottom tension adjustment. If your machine is a bobbin in removable vertical bobbin case then check out this link for images on how to set up the tension correctly.
http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Repair/Thread_Tension_Settings.htm Only make very small changes to the tension screw each time, and test each time. You want the tension to be tight enough so you can dangle it by the thread tail and it will hang in the air supporting its own weight, but loose enough that when you pull the bobbin downwards, it will release some thread.
Need manual for shark sewing machine and phone
I've done searches thru all of my sources for a free manual many times for 384, but never found one. I've only found one site that offers them for pay. It's at http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/instruction-manual-euro-pro-384.aspx.
I'm afraid I've never found a service number for them, either, but you may well be able to find one in the manual. Best of luck to you. Maybe you could post the service number on the site for others if you finally get it.
