Please can you help me. I have a LG Magnetron 2M246 Microwave and the start button has stopped working. All the other buttons work except the start button. Could you tell me how to fix it.

Try removing the power plug from the wall, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and then try again. If it still does not work, then you will need to take it to a local repair shop, as there is nothing further you can do

I have an LG solardom microwave and when I want to heat a small amount of liquid, it sparks and the base(not the turntable) of the microwave gets hot.

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck somewhere in the cavity of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover. It may also be in the area of the turntable support, coupler, or motor.

Lg microwave fuse location

Fuses are normally internal on Microwaves and opening the cabinet exposes dangerous voltages, even when disconnected. The fuses used are 'Ceramic' and look like this. ceramicfuse-3tkv02zfhnnile0ve5y4fcys-1-0.jpg However, just replacing it may not fix the problem, if you have a shorted component inside, it will need to be repaired by a competent shop/technician.

I have a LG microwave, model MG 583MC. It does not seem to heat up, but turntable spins, trying to faultfind, how do I discharge the cap? Or do I disconnect the leads to the cap, and then discharge?

You unplug it fro 10 minutes to drain down the circuit, but if it doesn't heat the chances are that the Magnetron is defective, in that case a new oven is a good choice.

Anyone perhaps know why my LG microwave LMV1683ST will not function with a new door assembly?

I hate to be the bearer or conduit of bad news, but IF the old (broken) door works, but the new door does not, the new door may not be the exact replacement part! Otherwise, the operation would be identical. Clearly, the problem is not with the microwave circuits because they work fine with the original door! Is there a flexible circuit strip that plugs to or from the door, to the control board in the main unit? If so, does it look any different than the original counterpart to it?

Does anyone perhaps know why my LG microwave LMV1683ST does not work with a new door assembly installed?

there might be a connector of some sort maybe a plastic part which gets in contact from door to the body telling oven door is closed and open.... seems like it doesn't recognize when the door is closed right now
