It sounds like when you moved the machine it pulled a plug off inside the machine, the only way to find out is to disconnect the power and remove the top of the machine, You will be able to see if anything is not connected as it should be.

Look for a leaking hose on the pump housing. May be just a loose clamp.

LG Canada does not provide parts directly to consumers, and therefore had to order from Encompass in the US on several occasions. I am not sure if they are best from a discount perspective, but they are very helpful, and I have not had any problems with their service or parts.

This is a hard problem to diagnose remotely. Someone has to have a look at the machine, as any number of electrical/electronic failures could cause a loud popping noise. I would recommend a service call.

Do you have power to the display?

replace the main control unit under the inits top cover in the left rear top corner & inside the plastic cover if when you open the cover that protects the mainboard from water spray(if theres NO RED LED lit on the control board) then its the board that needs replacing,if it has the LED lit then run the diagnostics per the tech sheet located inside the machine and it will tell you whats actually wrong,next step is to replace the touch pad located around the selector knob on the front face of the unit

all machines are fixable just a matter of how far you have to go to fix it most likely you have a motor issue here is a link showing you the motor you can get to the motor from the back of the machine you will need a multimeter and you will have to do a voltage test on the motor to assure that you are getting power to the motor if you werent then you would have a control issue most of the time it is the motor in an lg the electronics are made overseas there good looking machines just fail on the electronic aspect of things please message me back if you have any further questions also down the bottom of the machine you should have a tech sheet if it is not there check under the upper cover three screws in back then slide cover to the rear with this tech sheet you should be able to test the machine fully and it will give you an error code which solidifies what the exact problem is please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation and thanks again

k350 and k360 are part of the motor also check 351 this is a sensor that makes the motor run as well usually 351 goes first before the motor depending how old the unit is thanks again

You probably have a bad cold water valve. Remove the screws ot the top cover after unplugging unit These screws are on the back at the top. Slide the cover back and up. Trace your cold water line to the valve and this is the one that is bad. It is held on by screws from the back. Remove the old and replace with the new.

Had the same problem today. On the front bottom left hand side there is a small door. Open the door and unplug the black rubber hose, this will allow the water to drain (make sure you have a small bucket to drain the water into.) After the water has drained, unscrew the black filter. Wash the filter and insert it back into the washer. Turn the filter until it will not turn any further. Plug the black water hose and close the door. If you had the same problem I did then it should work.

LG recommends that the filter be cleaned twice a month.

This is due to a bad water valve, you'll need to replace it. Sediment builds up, and does not allow the solenoid to close, thus water keeps filling.

You have a bad hall sensor or possibly a bad motor which should be warrantied for seven years on the motor. To replace the hall sensor un plug unit and remove back cover. Remove the large bolt on the big round rotor and slide it off of the spline shaft. Look down on the motor where the wires plug into an odd shaped plastic connector. This is the hall sensor. Use a 10mm socket and remove the bolts holding the motor to the machine do not let it fall. Unsnap the hall sensor after unplugging wiring harness and plug new one in SAME SPOT. Reassemble machine and try it.90% of LE codes are hall sensors.

Okay well i had the same problem with my LG WD-1438RD so i took it a part it was a loose wire in the display module easy fixed. I guess from banging the door closed and hitting the buttons to hard made it come loose. To fix it all you need is a phillips head take the two screws out of the back up the top then slide the lid forward. then remove the powder tray thing unscrew the 2 screws behind it push the clips out of the way just be careful not to break em. re connect the wires! job done =) i put glue and electrical tape on the wires and plug so it shouldnt happen again..... you would need to remove bottom exit rubber pipe from drum and use a flash light to free coin or screw,hope this helps

Hello, first of all I am sorry you are having problems with an item thats not that old, but unfortunately the days of washers and dryers that last for 15 or 20 years is over, they traded that for the fancy buttons and control panels, replacing relays and mechanical items with circuitry and software, unfortunatelly, you may not want to accept it, but I agree with LG given what you have said in your post, I wish there was a sequence of keys I could tell you to press to fix the problem, but the components have not become that user friendly yet. So a replacement board would be the best bet, unless you want to try repalcing the door latch CATCH, on the machine side not the door side, there will be a sensor going to the board somewhere telling it the door is closed and ready to wash, this may be an unnecessary part change, then again the Bpard may be unneccessary if you have never had a technician look at hte dryer in person, (There is no substitute for being able to put your hands on the object you are trying to repair). So if all you have gotten is Phone and internet support so far, you have gotten some free or cheap advice if this helps and you do not reject me, But you may want a service tech to actually put his ahnds on it, if you can get free estimates in your area, get more than one opinion.

Close the door completely.
If DE is not released, call for service.
That is why I based my solution as I did
