FIRST, If this code comes back. Have a technician look at it DO NOT CONTINUE TO RESET the code!!!! AS this is for the Hot Part called the FUSER. It can catch on fire! And that will ruin a perfectly good day!!!! 1. Turn OFF the main power switch. 2. Turn main power switch ON while pressing the Utility/Counter key. 3. Touch [Trouble Reset]. 4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and the it has been reset. 5. After turning off the main power switch, turn it on again more than 10 seconds after and check if the machine starts correctly. Call the service mode to the screen.(Shifting to the service mode is available even when the service call is occurred). 1. Press the Utility/Counter key. 2. Touch [Meter Count] on meter count display. 3. Press the following keys in this order.; Stop -> 0 -> 0 -> Stop -> 0 -> 1 4. Touch [Password], and enter the CE password using the display keyboard or the 10-key pad. Default is 92729272 (get three shots only then you are locked out) B.Once in service mode use the following procedure 2. Change the screen using [?] / [?] and select [Trouble Reset]. Sir/Mam, Directly below the drum section is assemble called the transfer/separation assy. (Pull out the middle section will see assy with black grids across it under the grids are some very fine wires) the purpose of this unit is twofold. (It houses several very thin gold plated wires) One wire is what helps the transfer of the image from the drum to the paper. Since the paper goes between this wire and the drum, the second wire prevents the paper from sticking to the drum during the transfer process. The code you have been getting means either wires might be broken, or has to be cleaned (because of all the toner on it from the drum assy. which needs to be removed and cleaned. Or The end blocks that hold the wires are getting old and allowing the High Voltage that is applied to the wire during the copy/print process to leak to ground. have a qualified tech look at it. If the code comes back do not reset, you are messing with the Fuser the Hot part. Continuing to reset without a technician looking at and or replacing it, the fuser can catch on fire and that would ruin a perfectly good day. 1. Turn OFF the Main Power Switch. 2. Sir/Mam 1. Power off the machine. Then remove the toner bottle, be careful the hole might be on the bottom and the toner is going to go everywhere. Then close the toner cover and turn on the machine. Let the machine go through it normal routine. When it asks for toner install the toner bottle correctly. If THE KNUB on the side of the bottle is damage put a new one in. That KNUB is what the toner motor uses to turn the bottle, if it damaged you get a code. If that does not work, you might have a bad motor or the home sensor or actuator for the toner bottle is bad worse case the control board is bad. 2. Have you had the developer and drum replaced recently, or does the screen say Replace PC Drum? There are certain house chores the copier does before "Ready to Copy" it is waiting for them to get done, so that equals "Please Wait". One big item is making sure the developer and toner are properly mixed inside the image unit underneath the drum or next to it depending on the series. Might want to have the developer replaced and drum/cleaning blade normally done all together, then run the F8 procedure/Developer Charge, and make sure the counters where cleared. Did you recently replace the drum and the developer if so did you clear the counters for the drum and developer, FIRST? IF not then the copier thinks the new drum and new developer are old. The copier works on the counters that is how it knows it got a new drum and developer. Get new developer and a new drum and have it installed correctly. Counters are clear before the unit is yanked out of the machine, then you remove the image unit/drum unit replace the developer/drum and cleaning blade. (DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER WHEN REPLACING THE DEVELOPER static electricity can destroy the sensor located below the developer unit. Then reinstall and RUN F8/Developer Charge. Make sure the fax line and Ethernet cable is removed can't print anything until the F8 is run. Or you will start all over again with new developer and a new drum.
