When i on marantz sr4600 it flashes check dsp rom, plz help me with this issue
The one that is heating up and shutting down could have a shorted output. Try removing all the speaker wires. If it still heats up and shuts down, it probably has a bad output stage.
On the one displaying the DSP ROM error, you may want to try a factory reset. using the following sequence:
Should the operation or display seem to be abnormal,
reset the unit with the following procedure.
The SR4600 is turned on, press and hold the
7.1CH INPUT and ATT buttons simultaneously for
3 seconds or more.
Standby light is on but
Check the speaker wires for a short. If it does this with the speaker wires unhooked, it is in the receiver.
Audo none at-70 to -10
Seems that amplifier circuit is damaged.Please do continuity testing on the board to find the circuit has volts pass in and out.If so, then replace the board alone.

Can't get receiver out of "protect"
You have a problem in the main power supply or the output circuit in this reciver. If you have any solid state repair experience, go inside and unsolder or take out the main output devices, and try to turn on the unit. If it still does not come on, your going to need to troubleshoot the power supply. If it does come on then the output devices you took out are bad. If you have no training in this stuff, seek out a pro to assist you in this repair. There are no user replaceable parts inside these units. Good Luck

Some indication of power supply issue. if it is 6 months old. It should be still under warranty. Should it not?
Marantz sr18 sound goes out
NOT A CAR/TRUCK SO MOVED TO AVR
THE AVG. AVR HAS OVERLOAD DETECTOR AND LAMP AND RELAY
THAT FAILS WHEN OVERLOADED.
PER THIS SIMPLE LIST
- SPEAKER WIRES SHORTED.ENDTO END
- SPEAKER SHORTED.
- TOO MANY SPEAKERS WIRED IN PARALLEL.(THE ohms rule violated)]
- the amps side is failing.
- the overload detector is bad, telling lies, and shutting it down.
- try no speakers, to see if it trips.
- It is 1999 and is old. even bad caps inside now.
Digital inputs: coaxial, optical
Video Connections: component, composite, SVHS
the rig has fan sensor failure and over temp too, and the service manual covers that.
