I cant use my scanner..i need to install
Step 1. Install Microtek ScanWizard 5
Install the ScanWizard 5 scanner driver (included in your Microtek CD-ROM) as instructed in the Installing and Getting Started booklet(a separate document that came with your scanner package).
For ScanWizard 5 to work properly after installation, the correct scanner model should be properly connected to your host beforehand and it needs to be "powered on" before launching the software.

Driver not avlebel
Since I don't know which operating system you're using, this link is as far as I can take you.
1.) At the bottom of the webpage, click the link of the operating system you are using.
2.) On the following page, download the "Main Installer", which will include your driver.
That should do it for you. If you find this helpful, please leave a great rating so others may benefit from this answer too!

Where i can find a
3840 is an old scanner and the latest driver for it in microtek website is for xp. but you can try using the win7 64-bit driver of ArtixScan DI 1210 which you can download here:
after downloading, DON'T INSTALL it. put it in a folder, then using your WINRAR, extract it (right-click then click Extract Here). Then MANUALLY UPDATE your driver by browsing to your folder when windows detect your printer or click add printer in Devices and Printers in Control Panel.

Microtek 3840 - Drivers for
The scanner in question is not supported under Windows 7 as it is quite aged. I've seen reports of people getting drivers for the same scanner under windows XP and running them in compatibility mode, but these are hackish at best and may or may not work.
As it stands, there is no supported driver for the Microtek 3840 under Windows 7.
