Computer Won't Recognize Device
Try plugging your USB cable (attached to your player) into the computer before you turn the computer on and boot up . . . I had this same problem with a flash drive that the computer would not recognize if I plugged it into the computer while the computer was already on.

Invalid MEMORY...help!!
First of all, sorry for my English
If you still have this mp3 or for anyone who sees this solution, this is what I did:
- Remove de mp3 battery.
- Press and hold down de "Func" and "Play" buttons.
- Connect the mp3 to computer's usb.
- A message of formating the mp3 will appear.
- Release de buttons and press de "Rec" button.
- Formating will start and in a few seconds the mp3 will work again.
Hope it works... it does in a FY400

Where can i send my fy500 to get the battery door
I've broken 2 battery doors now. It doesn't take much. Got the 1st one replaced under store return policy. Now it's way past the warrantee period.
I've resorted to tape and elastic bands. If you attach the elastics from opposite corner to opposite corner, it works pretty good and still doesn't block the front buttons.

Hmm...well wnhen ever i charge
Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
