CF light stays on, cards come out unreadable by computer
You may need to have your camera driver and software reinstalled. It seems that the internal writer capabilities are corrupted.
This is evident if each card you use ends up corrupted or unreadable, but the rest of the camera operates normal.

Hard to pinpoint the exact problem...
What lens do you have attached? Does it have a switch for M/A and M (auto focus/manual focus)? If it does ensure the switch is in the M/A or Auto Focus position.
On the left side of the camera on the face there are 3 positions, C, S, and M. Ensure it is not on "M" for manual.
Do you have your camera setup to only allow the shutter to operate when it is in focus?

Error 11 at nikon camera
First, if you can try the lens on another camera body, please do. See if the same thing happens on a different camera body. If it does, it's a problem with the lens. If not, you need to look at the camera. You can verify it's the camera by placing a different lens onto the body and see if you're experiencing the same problem. If it is indeed the body, I would suggest you take a pencil eraser and gently but firmly clean the contacts located on the lens mount. It's my experience (I also shoot with a D200) that often times when a lens isn't autofocusing, it's due to direty contacts either on the lens itself or the camera body. Cleaning them is a good start though and will narrow your issues down to the lens or the camera body. After cleaning, try the lens again to see if it's working correctly. If not, send it to Nikon in New York for repairs.
Err, R25 on display
The D200 uses a different way of changing the aperture than on that old lens. Set the switch to 22 and lock it with the little lock just above it. It always has to set like this. Now the D200 will stop complaining.

Are you using the automatic mode or manual mode? Try checking the dial and see which mode you are using.
If you are shooting on the mode with the crossed-out flash symbol, flash will not be fired, and if there is not enough light, the outcome will be very dark
Nikon d200 with 70-300 mm lense shutter exposure problems
Start out by putting the camera on the GREEN AUTO button on top of the camera. It sounds like you moved into a manual mode and I don't think you're ready for thet yet. Let me know if this fixes the initial problem. We can go from there.
