I can only guess. I think the camera was dropped and the screen was damaged.

This camera does not support external shutter release. To get around this use a TRIPOD and self timer (If you can wait 10 secs before taking shot)

The camera has a 10 second self timer. usually when you want to use it.. It only works for one image so you have to set it up for self timer again. On the back you may be able to set the camera to use the self timer. The only ICON I know of in most cameras that has a clock is the self timer. Say camera is in Tripod and you want to take a group shot and YOU want to be in the photo. You set up and put on Self Timer. You press the shutter and it will take 10 seconds before taking the photo... Enough time for YOU to get int he shot.

Go into the menu under format SD card in the playback option. Select Format card. All data will be erased from the SD

Have you checked your white balance and exposure settings? It is more than likely that the technician who repaired it for you changed them from your preferred settings.

put make and model into google and see if you can get a manual for it

there is button on the camera it should show you the screen if there is no button the lcd might I cant guarantee be broken

I know it's probably a bit late & you have probably sorted it or got a newer camera by now.........Set the camera to one of the settings like landscape, go to menu, tap down to the tools section & the 3rd choice is moniter settings - it's under there!. I had the same problemuntil I refered to the user manual & found it there. Posting this so that anyone else has the same problem, here's your answer!!

Sounds like you are in manual focus. Look on lens for M-MA button. Be sure you're on MA. Also look on camera for M / A and be sure you're on A.

First of all, have you any idea what substance is causing the stickyness ? A fairly safe start would be to lightly moisten a lint-free cloth, then wring it out until it is almost dry, and try gently rubbing an area of the camera, possibly the base plate. If there is discoloration on the cloth, the chances are the contamination is water-soluble, so repeat the process until you are satisfied with the results. WARNING! Do NOT let liquid enter the camera - the cloth must be almost dry. If it is not water soluble, then you probably need to take it to a repair facility and let the technician clean it, as many solvents are harmful to the paint and plastics used in camera bodies.
