541: M toner sensor error

As the toner cartridge sits in the drum unit, the toner sensor outputs signal to drum unit which in turn conveys it to the printer via electrical contacts.
Try cleaning the contacts that are located on both sides of the corresponding drum unit, and also the contacts protruding from the sides of the drum socket inside the printer. Also reseat the toner in the drum.
If this doesn't solve the problem, try swapping two drum units - if the error now moves to the other color, than there's something wrong with the toner cartridge or the drum, and you have to find out if it's a contact problem between the toner and the drum, or perhaps the toner cartridge is defective - happened to me once.
If the error doesn't move to the other color, it means that something's wrong with the printer contacts - either they are dirty or dead, because of static electricity or something, and the printer needs servicing.

Trying to cancel a print

Sometimes this is a right royal pain int he **** to actually do. You need to cancel from the pc that send the print job, then you might have to turn the printer off and restart it a few times. Usually just once if you leave it off for a half minute does the trick. The idea is to clear the memory or buffer.

If it will not clear on the pc then it gets annoying as you won't be able to print until it is out of the way. Cancle the job then delete it from the cue. Then try a reboot or two. If nothing else you can remove the printer from the printer menu, then reboot and add it back in. That force the OS to clear out the spooler and so on. You used to have to hunt down the print job file and manually delete it.

Printer paper jamed. I pulled

Hi bill,

You said you've already removed the Jam right, but still an Error 923 shows on the panel.

If I may ask have you checked if all the Jam has been removed from the inside, making sure not piece of paper is left in the machine causing any further Jams.

If all paper is believed to be removed then you can try doing a power cycle, turn the machine OFF unplugged from the wall as well then press and hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds then turn it back ON if the error still exist try re-seating all the ink cartridges just to reset everything see if that will remove the error Fatal Erro 923.

I check your Error and is actually not one of the Errors that the printer has on the user manual, possible you may need servicing on your Unit.

Have a good day.

Thank you for choosing Fixya,

Oki C5500 printer has ghosting on most of the

This type of print problem associated with laser printers is due to the corono wire needing to be changed. The wire is not fully pulling the toner off of the drum completely. If you can access it, cleaning it may help (usually a lever that you are supposed to run back and forth a few times that wipes the corona wire). If the cleaning doesn't help, then it probably needs replacing.

Can't see c5500 printer

Check you printers IP address because it just might have altered on the printer, if you can check on the printer itself for the IP then check your "printer property's" in your "Devices & Printers" (if win 7) or wherever they are on your computer. and check the "ports" tab - "configure ports" and the IP address should be the same. This is if you are using it on a LAN network, USB configures itself.
