Buy an inexpensive card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

Turn the dial to settings (the wrench and screwdriver) and toggle over to Set-up2. At the bottom of this screen you'll see "Auto Power Off". You can change the setting here.

The problem is not in the batteries....
I have the same problem, after two pictures the camera shuts off even when new batteries have been installed...

Remove the SD card from the camera. Slide the tiny switch on the side of the card to its other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card in the camera. But if you've already tried this, see this link for additional things that you can try.

Make sure the battery is fresh or new.
Make sure to check all your menu settings.
These settings can affect the flash.
You can reset to default...then see what happens.
You can always sell the camera as a parts camera on a site such as Ebay.

if the cards work ok on something else then there's a issue within camera it could be the actual sd connector within the camera ? doess the camera support that size ? known problem on this product because dell'autofocus expects release new firmware from the manufacturer

Try shooting in continous mode from the menu - but the flash doess not work in this mode?

Try taking the card out of the camera and clicking the side of the card - there may be a little gap on one side of the card or a small button that you can slide up and down and then reinsert your card.

Do not interfere with the lens as it is out -dont try to push it back- this will wreck it. Take the batteries out and with the eraser at the end of a pencil polish the contacts at the bottom the the battery chamber. Do the same with the contacts in the lid Try a further new set of batteries. Insert them. close the lid switch on What happened? Nothing Then switch on again and this time gently push ther battery compartment lid. What happened?

It could be that the battery can't hold a charge anymore.

You will probably have to get a new battery.

Make sure the camera is working fine and that youre able to take pictures with the power cord plug in. If that works it isn't the camera, it's the battery.
