Olympus FE-110 Digital Camera - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Zoom lense going in and out when turned on
Try taking the batteries out and plugging it in. If it powers on, put fresh batteries in and try again off the AC. Once it's powered up from the AC, unplug it and see if it stays on. If it does, try restarting it. Good luck.
Problem with my cam
you do not need software for this or any other camera Windows XP can cope very well on its own.
Plug in the camera. make sure it is switched on and set to upload.
Windows will put up the picture and scan Wizard and ask what you want to do with the images
Take it from there
Reinstalling software
Close down the computer.
Reboot the computer go to Control panel Add/delete software - find the Olympus file and click delete.
When done do not re install, but put the CD back in the box, Windows does very well without it.
If you need an image editor download Picasa it free. If you want an image viewer Download Irfanview- that's free too.
Software the comes with camera is always bet left in the box in my view
Fault Display
Your chances are very slim-
As you discovered
Charges are made for inspection only -it is some ones time after all- and parts are not usually available.
Best bet - Dont waste time and money in shipping, inspection and return.
Cut your losses and get a new camera.
It keeps turning off
This usually means the batteries are almost dead. If rechargeable types, they can no longer hold a charge. If the batteries are fresh, try another set newly purchased.
I have Olympus FE330 and the Power button stuck in the depressed position and it turns the camera on and off.
First you need to get the button out. But if it is defect (I think it is) that won't help. Did you try to find out what is keeping the button in the depressed position? is it possible there is some dirt around the knob? Something you can remove?I don't think it is worth bringing it to a service center. If they need one hour to repair it will cost twice a new camera of that class. So when you can't get the know out, I think you should start saving up for a new camera.
Camera picture distorted Olympus fe -340 8.0 5xzoom
Could it be you changed something in the settings?
Can you see the scene in a normal way before shooting? then it look to me the sensor an the camera have to be good.
It is to much to tell you how, because you have to look that up in the manual, but, please try to set the camera in auto mode, because is you did set to in the scene mode, and than chose blurry background, or shooting through glass that could cause the distortion.
I put the link for the manual down here, in case you can't find yours.
Start at page 6 to see how to shoot in automatic.
Be aware if you shoot ready shot (anti shake) on a tripodthe pictures will be blurred to.

Replace Olympus fe330 lens shutter flex cable?
The socket for the remote shutter release cable is on the right side of the camera when facing the lens. It is about half way between the top and bottom of that side. Just plug it in and set your shutter option to use it.
Driver fe21o
Do you really want a driver?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you ca use any photo management program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).
How to fix olympus fe-340 streak and peaks verticaly when picture taken
Not sure you can fix this, but most of the time the stripes are produced in a dark environment with one or a few bright lights. The streaks start on the bright light. Most of the time if you shoot the picture the streaks are not on the picture.
You could try to switch the camera to the automatic, or perhaps night scene.
If the streaks are there in normal light, I think your camera is defect.
