Why would unit be leaking water on the inside unit
If it is leaking on the inside (coil) it usually is a sign the condensate drain is plugged causing overflow, or the coil is freezing up inside and when its off it thaws the ice and melts down the center of the coil and onto the floor,
Replace contactor
On single phase your incoming power lines go to L-1 & L-2, the lines to the compressor go to T-1 & T-2. With A/C current it does not matter which one goes to which side as long as the line goes to the L side and the compressor power lines go to the T side. As long as the coil voltage is correct any contactor will replace the original.
Electric heater blows cool air unless i turn the thremostat up at least 5 degrees higher then it goes to high and blows warm air
If it's "dual fuel" like heat pump with gas heat, the heat on the heat-pump side won't "feel" warm in the extreme temperatures we've seen in much of the country lately.....2nd stage gas will feel MUCH warmer. If purely electric, 1st stage heat may be off due to a manually resettable high limit switch/ bad heat contactor (giant relay), or a misapplied or defective thermostat. NOTE: if somebody recently painted OR wallpapered, AND it's a mercury-bulb T-stat, It HAS to be level and the connections must be tight!
I need assistance with swapping out a contactor.
I don’t believe changing the contactor to a double pole contactor will
solve this problem. It appears by your description that bugs are being
attracted to the contact points on the contactor. Changing to a double
pole contactor will not eliminate that problem but only provide another
contact point for the bugs to be attracted to. The most effective
solution would be to replace the current contactor with a sealed design
where the contact points are totally enclosed. Enclosed contactors are
completely enclosed protecting it from bugs and dirt. These type of
contactors are available in the single pole design so no further wiring
modifications are needed. You can consult a professional A/C service
company like mine for more information and assistance.
Hope this helps. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you!

My heat pump will not heat, but A/C works and
Sounds like a problem with the reversing valve. I had a two y/o heatpump system have a reversing valve fail. The entire valve assy had to be replaced. This is NOT a DIY job. You have to recapture the refrigerant and then unsolder the reversing valve and resolder a new one in and test for leaks and purge the air from the lines before recharging the system. Really NOT a DIY job...
My furnace keep cutting off
1 blink usually indicates ignition failure. if burners are lighting then cutting off, watch for amber light ( flame) on board, if its not lighting up, then flame sensor needs to be cleaned or replaced.
Ruud furnace won't stay lit.
Hi, welcome to Fixya. If you have spark ignition turn off the power and using sand cloth clean the rod(s) and hood of the spark ignition. If it is a Hot Surface Igniter (glow coil) look on the opposite end of the burners and you will see a rod protruding in to the flame. It's called a flame sensor. Clean it with the sanding cloth. If either of these works then you bought some time but should consider replacing the part fairly soon. Please report back to let us know your progress. Good luck.
