use the coaxial cable + conect the yellow, red and white cable to video input in tv.

You most likely have a capacitor or 2 that are bad and as long as it stayed plugged in they stayed charged, then when you unplugged it, they discharged and cannot charge back up. My recommendation is to take it in to a service center to have it repaired it should not cost much to repair. This is a common problem with this design of power supply. I see it every day.

If your on cable it will work! If your on outside antenna it Won't.! You do not have a ATSC tuner in that model to recieve digital signal over the air.

Probably the main signal board. These sets have pretty compacted boards. Everything from tuner to audio output on one board. Also, don't over look the speakers.

You have the TV set to cable. You need to go back into the menu. Go to the settings and change the setting where it says cable to AIR.

one of my friends had the same problem and he sent it back to Polaroid and they sent him a new tv. so call Polaroid and see what they say. i think it is a power supply problem. and you don't want to touch that.

If you have a s-video port it wiil connect to most cable and dvd players ect, the quality of picture and sound will also be improved.

Firstly, unplug your tv for at least 4 hours. Over night is better. This is what we call a Hard or Master Reset.
This should solve your problem. If by chance it doesn't, then more than likely your power supply board is shot.

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

well first that new, wal mart should just replace it no questions asked, but the 8oo number for polariod is 1-866-289-5168 that should be customer service.

. These are the caps I replaced they where only a little swollen I was worried if they where even the problem but I changed these three and was very happy that my TV is now working like new again the two top ones I replaced with 1000uf 16v the lower one is 1000uf 35v ok well I hope this helps ya

What it sounds like is wiring inside to the speakers got disconnected. Does the TV have a jack for headphones or external speakers? If so, then I would connect something to see if you get sound.
If you still do not have any sound, then your audio outputs may have fried.

is the status light on wheather red or blue if eather one then the fuse is fine if not check the fuse. if the lights are on then chances are your caps are gone its a huge problem with these tvs. if it is your caps than just replace them as i did and the tv is working like new again.
