Having browsed the user manual I wonder if you plugged in the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System while the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv was powered down via the optical cable . Then powered up the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System first and then powered up the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv Maybe the Polaroid FLM-2632 TV has to detect that the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System is connected and powered up when the Polaroid FLM-2632 powers up. To activate its digital audio out ???? The note part about only being available only under HDTV (cable/air) mode. Might be the cause of your hassle also ? METHOD B: Use a coaxial cable to connect the audio amplifier's COAXIAL IN jacks to LCD TV's COAXIAL OUT jacks. Note: Above mentioned function is only available under HDTV (cable/air) mode. ? You could try pressing the source button on the remote to see if that brings it up. Also the TV may have got itself in a muddle. There will be a way to reset it to factory setting. If you can get into the TV's setup menu there ought to be an option buried somewhere to do that.

This might sound like a silly question but is the VGA input the one you wish to use?
If you are trying to use the VGA input what do you have it connected too?
A) Laptop 2nd VGA output.
B) Desktop VGA output.
NOTE: If you trying to connect it to a laptop you may have to engage your 2nd VGA output by depressing the 'Function Key' and either F4 or Some times it's the F8 key at the same time.

i had the same problem. i opened the panel in the back of the tv (3 screws) and opened the aluminum panel (3 screws). there's a red led light located at the bottom left corner of the top board. to the right of the led light, you will find this thing with 4 switches. i turned the two bottom switches "burn" and "epmw" to on. so far tv have been working.

Did you already try reseating the ribbon cable between the T-CON and the LCD panel yet. It does not sounds like bad screen. Screen is the most expensive part of the TV, just GOOGLE the part number as shown on the LCD panel to ifnd out how much it will be.
