first remove the cover of your TV by unscrew it at the back
secondly after that the power supply reveal it is the one that have a ac input from your ac cord or supply
thirdly,check your fuse if busted,replace fuse if busted and also check the regulator transistor if shorted then replace also
after that,also looking for bulging top capacitor/leak replace it in same type and rating voltage/microfarad
and finally after same troubleshooting..test it by power it on again

Did you remove the stand? It can be very difficult sometime due to the plastic fingers that snap the TV together. Use the thin flat blade screw driver to separate the rear cover, make sure to have the front laying down on a soft surface, starting at the bottom edge first and work your way around.

Try using channel 4 instead. There should be a switch on the cable box to switch it to channel 4 instead.

Unplug it for about an hour to let it reset itself, if still does not work, you will have to open it up.

I had the same problem. One repair shop said that they could not get parts. With $50 down the drain I took it to another guy who had the power board replaced in one week (for $200). So it can be done.
