The charge light goes off, when a certain voltage is reached. It is no indication there is any charge in the rechargeable battery. And when there sufficient power in the battery, it could be the camera is defect. Difficult to diagnose a device I can't hole in my own hands. Check battery, Check contacts from battery and in the camera. They should be clean and shiny. only clean with a dry cloth or cotton swabs.

Generally speaking, zooming reduces clarity. This is already a low megapixel camera at 8.1 MP, with a 6X optical zoom. This means that, for anything up to 6 times the resolution, it'll really zoom in by adjusting lenses. Everything after that (8.5X) will be digital, which will result in noisy (pixelated) pictures. However, make sure to take a few zoomed pictures and view them on a PC or Mac with an actual monitor. It's possible that the zoomed pictures only look bad on the tiny screen of the camera itself.

I have encountered the same problem with mine. This is what I do. !. Tap rapidly on the confirm button (yes @ no) do not soft tap. 2. Use a stylus pen it's working for Me. 3. Make sure it's fully charge or plugged in. 4. With the stylus pen tap slightly left or right of the choice button you are going to use. Hope this helps out.

Do you really need a driver? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Take it back and get a warranty exchange.

I suppose that your camera is Vivitar S529. For this camera you can download the english user manual from http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/1010/ViviCam_S529_Camera_Manual.pdf. You can find how to delete some of your photios at page 29, or you can format your card to delete all photos from your card (page 26).

With all digital cameras the maker delivers a CD (DVD) with software to install on your computer, to make it possible to put the pictures from the camera on any computer. On the disk(s) are drivers for all operating systems that need them. (Windows 7 and up do have all drivers for hardware that is certified by Microsoft) And there are programs to download the pictures from the camera to the PC. Sometimes the manufactures also delivers software to organise the pictures in folders and software to view or even enhance the pictures you shot. When you lost the disk, most of the time you can get the software on the website for your brand. Sometimes you even get newer updated software and new drivers if needed. If you can't get software form your brand, you always can install other generic software like Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop express. Or if that is not possible you could install an external memory card reader and download the pictures via de memory card reader.
