The pop is a pretty generic problem. Check the capacitors on your power supply. If they are swollen or ruptured then just replace these and hope you did no other damage to the sustain boards.

You should call Gateway Electronics located in St. Louis, MO 63146 at 2220 Welsch Ind. Crt 314-427-6116 or look on the internet I believe they have another location in Calif. They do not have a minimum charge as some companies do to send it to you.

This is you HD push board that is out of allignment can be fixed by putting in a new HD push board, A push board simply is a decoder/tuner board with a technical name. Hd push simply means push Hd signals over decoder. for around $150 bucks the TV can be fixed depending on where you take it. If this has a extended warranty I would suggest you use it would be my best recommendation to you.

At this time there is not quick fix to this situation it will need to be repaired, As a friendly reminder to you plasma TV's in july 2010 will have no support parts/labor or otherwise so if you thinking about change I would consider doing it at this time.

sounds like you have a problem with your conversion board try to replace or check for loose connections!

The set has an internal problem and should cost about 200.00 or so for the part. Available at a Zenith dealer. Labor should be reasonable. Is it worth it? If the set has been reliable till now, maybe it is worth keeping around another couple of years. Strictly your call, man. I have the same one at home and it is sweet. By the way, that set is actually manufactured by LG with the Zenith logo on it.

shut system down completely and turn off power in back then unplug box it up j/k plug it back up turn it back on it may fix itself then mine did

The LG/Zenith plasma TV's used a power supply module with several electrolytic capacitors on it that literally "blow their top" when they fail. The best solution is to replace the enitre power supply module rather than just the failed elctrolytics. Readily available at a local LG/Zenith dealer or directly from LG at a nominal fee. Replacement is easy if you are handy at this sort of thing since the entire chassis is modular in design. A nice TV well worth fixing. And this was a common problem but nothing out of the ordinary.

This would be caused by a bad HD driver board.

1. you can repair or replace the driver board/
2. check for any swollen capacitors
3. Replace bad or swollen capacitors

Possible causes are:

1. faulty wiring.
2. modem took a surge and is not working and needs to be replaced.
3. Bill not paid.
4. The problem could be on your service provider's part and you should call tech support to have them check their end of your connection.

Common on this set are bad x and y suatain boards.

Sometimes a technician can make adjustments to the y-sus and z-sus boards on the panel. If that doesn't work then its either replace those boards along with the main driver board or replace the panel. Either way this requires a technician to look at the TV.

Try using a S-Video cable if your VCR has the connection. Otherwise, use a RCA composite-video cable on one of the AV inputs of the TV. The cable has a Yellow, Red, White color, the same as the jacks it goes in.

The best way to hook up your VCR is to use the AV jacks (Red, White, and yellow). Plug into AV1 or Video 1 on the back of the TV. Then, plug into Red, White, and Yellow output jack on the back of the VCR. After everything is hooked up, turn your TV channel to AV1 or Video 1 to watch from the VCR.

To record, you'll have to plug your cable box or satellite box to the AV inputs ( Red, White, and Yellow) in the back of the VCR. ( The only thing is it wouldn't be in HD )
