Cooktop Locked Up!!

Got the same problem.
Here's a work around: Turn breaker off, second person needs to hold the CANCLE/LOCK button (keep holding it!)
Turn breaker back on and keep holding the button, lock feature may turn on, red lock light stays on, KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON. At the end you will get a F11 (shorted keypad) warning. It may take up to 20 seconds or more but in my case the red lock light goes off, the dashes disappear and everything is back to normal.
Now here are the bad news. This does not fix the problem (I think it's the EOC). Every time the power goes off the red lock light and dashes will come back. It also may require to people to fix this/work around... but, hey, it doesn't cost anything either...

Error code F20

An F20 or FH error code indicates a water supply problem. Here are some common issues:
  • Both hot and cold water must be connected and turned on
  • Water inlet hoses kinked
  • Water inlet valve screen clogged
  • Water pressure less than 10 psi
  • Not using HE High Efficiency detergent
  • Flood-preventing devices that shut off the water to the washer
Are both the hot and cold water faucets turned on? Turn on the water. Check the household faucets to see if the hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Make sure to open both faucets completely for proper fill. NOTE: Both hot and cold water must be connected to the washer supply and turned on. The washer will not properly operate with only one incoming source of water. The water valve inside the machine needs to have the "pressure" from both attached hoses in order for the washer to complete the cycle. If a cold water wash is selected, the washer is designed to add hot water to keep the temperature optimal for cold wash performance (75°F +/-10°).If you want to save energy by not connecting to the hot water line (or only have access to a cold water line if connected in a garage, etc.), purchase a "Y-connector" and an extra inlet hose to connect the hoses to both sides of the water valve. NOTE: If you choose to connect only to cold water, wash performance may be affected. Are the water inlet hoses kinked? Straighten the water inlet hoses. Are the water inlet valve screens on the washer clogged? Turn off the water and remove inlet hoses from the inlet valves in the back of the washer. Inside the inlet valves are screens. Remove any accumulated film or particles from the screens. Reinstall hoses, turn on water, and check for leaks. See the Installation Instructions for details. Is the water pressure less than 10 psi? If the water pressure is too low, the washer may not properly operate. To find out your exact pounds-per-square-inch (psi) value, contact your local water utility company. Are you using HE High Efficiency detergent? Use only HE High Efficiency detergent. Using non-HE detergent, or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent, can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can prevent the washer from detecting the incoming water. Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Are you using flood-preventing devices that can shut off the water to the washer? These hoses have a valve inside that will close if the water pressure is higher than two gallons per minute; this will shut off the water to the washer. If one of these hoses becomes loose, the water flow through the hose will increase and close the valve inside the hose, which will shut off water to the washer to prevent a possible leak or flood. If the hose is not loose, try taking the hoses back to the store for a replacement set. CLICK HERE for more information on use of flood safe devices Removing the Error To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice. If Pause/Cancel does not work: Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute. Plug in the washer or reconnect the power. Re-select the cycle and press Start. NOTES: On some washers, when the washer is started for the first time after this error code, it will begin to drain. You will not be able to pause or cancel the cycle for about 8 minutes while it drains. This is normal. If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service. HOW TO UNLOCK PLEFMZ99 AFTER FLICKERING LIGHS

Good Morning BELLA, I understand your Frigidaire range, model# PLEFMZ99, will not unlock after having a power surge. First, please try pressing and holding the "LOCK" button, for 3-5 seconds. If that does not unlock your door and controls, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and set the clock. Start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Oven burner comes on automatically...knob still

1.Make sure the knob isn't stripped and really in off position.
2. Check the control to see if it is actually open in the off position.
3. Look for a shorted wire back-feeding the valve circuit.

How do I turn the volume down or turn off the beep from my Frigidaire Gallery 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range when the oven reaches its intended temperature?

As copied from the manual. Setting a silent control panel When choosing a function, a beep will be heard each time a pad is pressed. If desired, the control can be programmed for silent operation. Press and hold (start/time) . After 7 seconds, the control will beep once. This will block the controls from sounding when a pad is pressed. To return the sound, press and hold (start/time) again for 7 seconds until the control beeps once NOTE! The OVEN indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat. This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature. When the preheat indicator light turns OFF, your oven is ready.

Frigidaire glass top stove big burner burned out but a new one but the connections are totally different from the old one how do I wire in the new burner please help

Send it back and get the correct one. It can't be the same part number if the connections are different. Your old one may have features that his new one doesn't. The one less wire may just be a shared return, but the stove might be needing individual returns. If it is an updated replacement (the listing sometimes says 'compatible with' or 'replaced by', or 'alternative part'), it should come with a wiring schematic. Please always include full 'make MODEL (what it is)'. Fixya Expert 'Jorgie the Appliance Guy' will have the answer if it is a shared return but he will need the model number. Edit your post and add it. ..

How to I adjust the flame in a Frigidaire gas oven.

No orifice for the oven jet? All work on gas appliances needs to be done by a certified gas technician. Somewhere, normally just behind the knob, there is an adjusting screw (certainly for hobs). The flame must be high enough that it can't blow out. The standard test is the slam the oven door, with your kitchen windows closed and then again with them open. Help in the link, but also the pressure from the tank _at_ the range should be checked. https://www.google.com/search?q=oven+flame+adjustment ..

The oven and broiler elements are not working in my older Frigidaire stove. I suspect a blown fuse.

This is so confusing You say "The oven and broiler elements are not working" Then you say "Everything works except the burners'. so nothing works? No oven/broiler elements and no burners? It make me wonder what the 'everything' is that works? The clock? The oven light? Sounds like the main house breaker has flipped. On my older GE stove from the 1980s there are glass screw in fuses hidden below the controls and above the hobs. You undo the switch bezel for the oven light and the switch bezel for the rotisserie and pull the panel forward exposing 8 fuses. If all yours blew, it would be very strange! Click comment under my answer and also under Vince's and we will get you Fix-Ya.
