no reset on unit but items to check is have a voltage meter remove the lowest kick plate open the wire connection box it may just be a bad wire nut. Do you have voltage if so then the problem is the thermal fuse located on the pcb controller between the outter door panel and the inner door panel

MY DISHWASHER IS NEW DISHES ARE DIRTY AFTER WASHING

Check the screen in the bottom of the washer for debris. Remove the screen and clean out the impeller with your hand or an old toothbrush. Also check your vent hose coming out of your garbage disposal. This can clog and cause problems. Hope this helps your problem.

My dishwasher, model # fdb1050reb1, will not start

You may have already, but try opening and closing the door and restarting the machine again. If the door switch is loose, you may be able to get it to make the connection and run. If it just palain won't work that way for you, you'll have to try to tighten up the connections on the switch, or replace it.
Best regards, --W/D--

Dishwasher always fills to float valve

There are actually several possible causes of your problem. I will briefly describe each in hopes that you can isolate the problem and will then know how to proceed.

If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:

Drain line/air gap
Pump
Drain valve and/or solenoid
Belt
Motor
Timer
Drain line/air gap A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Pump Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.

Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

Drain valve and/or solenoid Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.

Belt One brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. If this belt is broken or has fallen off, replace it.

Motor If the motor isn't turning or working, the unit won't drain. First check to be sure you have power to the dishwasher. If not, see the section "It doesn't work at all." If the motor hums but doesn't turn, it may need to be replaced.

Some dishwashers are susceptible to getting stuck if you don't run them regularly. If you haven't run the dishwasher for more than a week, you may need to manually spin the motor to free it up. If the motor is defective, you need to replace it. Dishwasher motors can't be serviced.

Timer Part of what the timer does is control the motor and drain valve. If the timer doesn't work properly, the water may not drain and you need to replace the timer. This problem is uncommon.

I have a Frigidaire built in dishwasher that won't

Your dishwasher is in the lock mode. If you press the button on the dishwasher that has the lock for maybe 5 seconds , the light will go off. Then put the dishwasher in a wash cycle (normal) and your dishwasher should start up working. Make sure the door is all the way closed. Hear the click of the door when it shuts. After about 90 seconds it should have water in it, press the start/cancel button 2 times and the water drains out.

Not washing

Hi,

There are a couple of things to check:

Some of the first things to check would be, did the water accidentally get turned off to the dishwasher? You need a volt meter to check for voltage at the fill valve, then go from there. If you have voltage to the fill valve, than the valve is bad, provided you have water pressure to the dishwasher. If you do not have voltage to the fill valve, then the wiring needs to be traced back to the control board and check for voltage there. The overflow switch could be bad also. Also check the door switch(es). If there is a cancel/drain function, try that with the door closed. If it operates, then the door switch(es) should be good. Sure this would help: God Bless

Mineral deposits on heating element of dishwasher

There is a chemical you can buy that is a dishwasher cleaner that should do it. Wal-Mart or an appliance store should have it. If it is bad, you may have to do it several times. Ultimately you may need a new element if it is real bad.

Same problem. Dishwasher won't start and wash light blinks.

If the wash light is blinking, there's an internal component problem there. Mainly the fuse is blown if it's blinking. Try to unplug the power of the unit overnight to reset it. If the same problem occurs, better have it repaired. If you can manually check the back panel of your machine to see if there's an open or shorted wire there, resoldering them could possibly fix it. The last resort is to contact a repairman to replace the burned internal electronic component.

Water wont quit running

HI, if you are getting water with the power to the d/w off, you will need to change the inlet valve. the valve is locate uner the d/w in the front left corner.
You should have a shot off valve under the sink or in the basement (if applies).
Sound like the valve has gone bad and is stuck open.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further with part # or anything else, please leet me know.

Thanks
Vic
