Dryer will not stop running

If the start switch is stuck or the start knob is stuck in the start position the dryer will run when the door is closed, and the timer is at at a time setting. if you have no heat you might need a heating element or your unit might have a thermal fuse that would need replacing.

FRIGIDAIRE MODEL FEQ1442ES1 LIGHTS FLASH THEN DRYER SHUTS OFF

Hi - From what you have described the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the control board. However, if the unit is producing heat but will not complete cycle please confirmed that the door is closing properly. If it is not, the unit could possibly have a defective door switch or cord/wiring. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately since this is not a typical DIY job.

My Frigidaire front load dryer model number FEQ1442ES won't dry

First off clean your dyer vent tubes all the way to outside of you home. This could have been caused by clogged/ dirty ventsOk so two possible problems.1. The thermal fuse has blown. It stops the heating coils from working as a safety when overheated. To access your must remove the top cover. It is located towards the top at the right rear of your unit. To check it you need an ohm meter and must unplug the unit. There will be two wires to it unplug them and check for continuity between. If there is not it must be replaced (about $20). If it is bad replacing it should solve your problem. 2. The heating element has gone bad. This is a much more complicated repair on your unit and requires a lot of disassembly to even test. The part is about $80 and unless you are adept at taking dryers apart you might want to call a repairman. For parts diagrams you could look up online. I use appliance pros but there are many others.Hope that helps.Dale

Leq1442eso

Good Afternoon Terry, thank you for your post! Often constant beeping is an indication that the unit is experiencing a possible error. I under you have tried resetting the dryer by flipping the breaker. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes before turning on the unit. If the beeping continues, then the appliance could be experiencing a communication issue with the control board or a potential wiring failure. I would recommend connecting with a qualified appliance repairman to proceed further.

Runs for 5 minutes then lights flash

Hello guysmith2146 - Try reprogramming the dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, restart unit and select a normal cycle. Have you recently cleaned the lint screen/filter? Otherwise the dryer may possibly be experiencing more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. I strongly recommend contacting a local professional to proceed further, should all troubleshooting measures fail. You can often locate qualified servicers by visiting the manufacturer directly.
