My Washer will not always spin at end of cycle, what happened?

Hello. You've got an intermittent problem. In order to troubleshoot this, you will have to read the last stored error code--there are very many codes. In order to read the code, with the washer off, push the start/pause and cancel buttons simultaneously. As long as you hold the buttons, the last stored code will be displayed. The door lock, wash ,rinse, and final spin lights will flash. You will have to either give the error code on this site or look it up--use the model number and error code on a search engine. This problem is hard to diagnose when not onsite--yes, I'm a tech. My gut is telling me the problem is with the motor control board located inside the unit at the bottom on the left side if you face the unit from the rear. But it could also be with the main board--the error code(s) will tell the tale. Things to initially check: (1) drain pump--it won't spin if it can't drain properly. (2) door switch, if it's loose or worn, it might be breaking contact and causing cycle stoppage. (3) does the basket spin very freely with nothing in it?(If a small article of clothing has gotten in-between the basket and tub it can cause a bind). Also, if there is a roaring sound like a train or a jet aircraft taking off during the spin cycle, that is indicative of a bearing failure--a VERY major, costly repair. If you are unsure or hesitant about troubleshooting, definitely call for service--I have worked on a lot of these washers--not that they're bad at all, just complex. I hope I helped you!

I can't get the water to spin out of the cylinder.

You can TRY to blow the clog backwards into the washing machine... by packing a "blow" canister vacuum cleaner or a shop vac on "blow". If the pump is clogged, the reverse pressure will force the clog into the washer... and then you can mix it with some water and try to let it go out in the normal way.

The machine must have the water turned off and the machine must be set to the "drain" setting. The pump will clog sometimes (rare) and I have used air pressure to clear them before.

Only other solution that I know if is to lay the empty washer on its face and access the pump from underneath... disconnect the exhaust hose and try to "fish" out the clog.... good luck

How do I get a mouse out of my tumble washer? It is living between the metal drum and the interior, accessing the outside via the soap drawer...

Go to a hardware store and buy some sticky pads (glue boards). Place them around the laundry and near were you think the mouse is feeding. Don't stop when you catch one as there is most likely two or three.

Why is my washer not starting and continues to go back to pause?????

Thank you for your post, Jeannie. I am happy to assist you! If you are receiving an error code PAUSE, it commonly indicates that the door of your washer is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, try reprogramming your appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your washer. If the issue persists, then your washer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Hope this helps!

Where is the pressure calibration switch on an affinity front load washer?

Hello garrett_lind, I appreciate your inquiry!

From my understanding you are searching for the pressure calibration switch on your Frigidaire washer due to the fact that it is not spinning on the last cycle. Some possibilities as to why your appliance is not spinning could be your timer or drain pump. I could not locate steps to access the pressure switch but for electrical components I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose and repair the appliance. -Matt

Why is my affinity dryer not heating and showing error code 56

Good Afternoon Friend, I understand your Frigidaire dryer, model# ATF7000ES, is not heating and showing an error code 56. The E56 code means there is high motor current, meaning it is possible something is going on with the motor. The other possibility is this is a false error code. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Door gasket is black looks moldy?

Good Afternoon Friend, I see that the door gasket on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000ES, is black and looks moldy. It because the mildew is not just on the gasket, but it is in the tub and in the pump and discharge hose as well. You need to reduce/eliminate the mildew in those parts. There are a couple of things you should do to reduce the causes of mildew. 1. Run the machine once a month, using liquid bleach, on the clean-tub cycle to clean out the machine. You might need to repeat this a few times to completely clean out your machine. 2. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the about and type of laundry detergent to use with your wash. Using too much detergent causes a buildup of detergent on the tub which encourages mildew growth. 3. After your final wash of the day, leave the door and laundry detergent open, wipe dry the gasket with a cloth. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. -Best Regards- WP

Why does my washer do every thing but spin dry could a pressure swicth be bad on door?

Good Afternoon Dale, I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000ES, not spinning your clothes dry. First, if the drum is not spinning at all, I suggest resetting your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Once power is restored run a spin only cycle. If it starts spinning and the clothes are still coming out damp, try one of the following:
1)Try changing the spin speed to a higher speed. 2)Make sure that you have not overloaded your washer. 3)Make sure that the wash load is not too small. If you are only washing a couple of items, try adding 1 or 2 similar items to balance the load. 4)Try rearranging the load to allow proper spinning. 5)Check the drain hose for any kinks. If it is kinked, straighten it. If you are still having trouble with your washer spin drying, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this helps. -Best Regards- WP
