Efo error
Not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent.
Too much detergent was added.
Using too much 2X or 3X HE detergent
Solutions for over-sudsing:
- Always use HE detergent in an HE washer. It is formulated to be a low-sudsing detergent and made especially for HE washers.
- Be sure to use the correct amount of detergent. HE washers require only a small amount of detergent. Note: This amount may need to be adjusted for water hardness, load size, and soil level.
- If using a 2X or 3X concentrated HE detergent, much less detergent is needed. If suds are seen, reduce the amount used.
- If using a water softener, less detergent.
- Make sure both Hot to Cold water hoses are connected properly at the faucets and at the washer.

Put it back together and works fine now.
Chirping alarm every 60 seconds
Hello,
Washing machines feature a control lock that, when enabled,
renders the buttons on the control panel inoperable. The control lock
is a safety device that prevents accidental operation. The lock was
created to keep children from using the washing machine unsupervised,
which could lead to injury. Before you can use the washing machine again, you need to disable the control lock.
Instructions Below
-
1
Press
any of the buttons on the control panel to see if the buttons are
operational or check to see if the "Control Locked" indicator light is
lit. If the control panel is operational, you may mistakenly lock the
door.
-
2
Press
and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately three
seconds until the "Control Locked" indicator light shuts off. The
control panel is now unlocked, and the washer is ready for use.
-
3
Lock
the washer again by pressing and holding the "End of Cycle Signal"
button until the "Control Locked" indicator light turns on.
Thank you and thanks for using fixy.
Water keeps leaking into tub after cycle
Water enters the washer through the water inlet valves to the soap dispenser on the left front of the machine and then enters the washer from there. If you are saying that after the wash cycle is complete and water is still entering the washer, the problem would be a defective water inlet valves. These valves should shut off the water completely if the washer is not calling for water. It requires electricity to open the valves. If you unplug your washer after it completes a wash cycle and water is still entering the washer, then these valves need to be replaced. It is the part where the water hoses connect to the back of the machine. Just remove the hoses from the machine, remove the back panel and you should be able to replace or have it replaced it easily. It should be easy to find at any appliance supply house. Hope this helps.
I have an affinity washer
E20 = Clogged drain pump.
Tools I used: vice grips, both phillips and standard screw drivers, flash light and an 8mm socket with ratchet.
I solved this problem by removing the rear oval type cover by removing the 6 phillips screws that hold it on, but first thing is to unplug the machine! I unplugged the electrical connection going to the pump. Then I removed the hose closest to me by removing the pinch clamp with a pair of vice grips. Then I removed the two screws holding the pump down to the frame of the washer (8mm socket). Then I removed the farthest hose by removing the pinch clamp with the vice grips. Once this was done I took out the pump. The hose entering the pump contained a sock, debit card and thirty-five cents!
Once I removed all of the debris I reversed the order but this time I used an automotive hose clamp which makes re-assemble waaay easier!!! (Saves about 30 mins) Total repair time took me 1 hour, but if you use an aftermarket hose clamp instead of the pinch clamp on the hose coming into the pump this will save you at least 30 minutes because it is soo difficult to put back on because of the tight space.
One-hour, a minor cut and $2.35 for the clamps later all is fixed!
Reading ERROR CODE 20
this is usually affiliated with a drain pump issue.Check and make sure that all hoses to and from the drain pump are not blocked to include the one that comes from the bottom of the tub to the drain pump
Loc
It
means the control is locked to avoid having someone accidentally start
or stop the dryer. Press and hold the Options and Select buttons for 10
seconds or until the “LOC” on the display is cleared. Locking the
control is done the same way it is unlocked.
