Oven in DCS gas range doew not turn on
Well some of the older ones have a unit that is sorta like a pilot light which keeps you safe by not letting out gas before it ignites so as to not blow up. This macanism is probably bad. I use to replace them on Tappan ovens. They would last a couple of years and then would go out and to replace them then was about $80.00. Easy to do. They are usualy located inside the oven somewhere and look like a glass eye on one end with a small 1/4 inch gas line connecting to the other end.
Can't get door back on
This technique is for a DCS range. On the hinge flanges their are two parts to each side. The lower flange has a little clip on it that attaches to the upper flange. To attach these bend these by laying the door down with the inside of the door up and using a rag or something to pad the palm of your hand, press the upper flange down till it meets the lower flange then hinge the clip up (that is on the lower one) and attach it on to the upper one. Do this on both sides then pick up door and slide the flanges into the slots on the range till they meet resistance. Bend the door down slightly, release the clips and close the door. If this doesn't work the first time, repeat process with different door angle. Be careful not to force anything, this is actually easier than it appears.

Left rear iginitor continues to clik when knob is off
The problem is a bad or shorted ignition switches for these burners. Unfortunately these parts are no longer available due to age of the product. If your mom does not care, you can unplug the stove from the outlet and she could use it with a lighter (at least until you will get a new one).
Let us know if you have something more to know else accept the suggestion.

Ignitors keep firing by themselves after my aunt cleaned them 24 hours ago
If they ignitors worked properly before you aunt cleaned them, the problem could be with the way they were cleaned and what they were cleaned with. Please tell me how she cleaned them and with what. Also, had she cleaned them before without incurring any problems, or was this the first time she had cleaned them?
Gas burners are ticking
The ticking sound you hear is the electronic ignition which is located by each burner. When you turn a burner on the electronic ignition creates a spark which ignites the gas. Once the burner is ignited. turn the knob a bit further and the ticking will stop.
DCS stove igniters clicking
Actually Dave, when you turn on one burner, all of the igniters do fire. This is normal. Perhaps you never noticed it before. regards, Joe

Broiler won't ignight - 48" gas range
I had the same problem. I'm not a handyman. A repairman came out and had to replace the igniter. Had to order it from Europe, which took about 2 weeks. They get old and crack and don't work after a while, he said.

The "Heating" light does not
yes, the heating light can be changed/replaced. Follow the below procedures;
- Look for the manual to determine what size bulb is required. Most use a
40 watt appliance bulb. If you can not find the manual, then buy a bulb
to replace it after you take out the old one.
- Confirm that the oven is not on. Allow it to cool to room temperature if it has recently been used.
- Open the door and use a flashlight to light the area where the bulb is
located. Do not put weight on the door itself, but go in at an angle or
- Find the shield or cover over the bulb, gently pull or twist it off.
Some glass covers are surrounded by a wire clip or a ring that is
screwed in to the back.
- Gently remove either the wire clip or ring. Since the cover is most
likely glass, be cautious. Unscrew the entire glass cover similar to a
jar lid in older versions of ovens. Then repeat process if there is
more than one bulb.
I hope the above helps. If not, please let me know.
