You will notice that the micro switch has two holes. The switch is held in by a plastic retainer and pivots on one of these holes. Gently pry at tab till you figure out how it should come out. Don't break tab.

What do you mean "fan doesn't work"? Magnetron will over heat without fan.

Check fuse - magnetron tube may be fubar.

The defrost cycle is not working. After a predetermined number of hours of compressor running time, a timer actuates the defrost cycle, which stops the compressor and turns on a heating element to melt the ice. Either the timer or heating element is not working. Also, make sure the melted ice water is actually draining and not re-freezing.

sometimes a bad relay on the main timer board will tell the unit to heat with nothing in it and it will arc in the wave guide or antenna area. Arcing sounds like growling or grumbling. "Random" may be from the relay sticking sometimes and then sometimes not. Will destroy the wave guide and the magnetron and the unit could not be repaired. Would have to be replaced if that happens

The most cost effective way to deal with this is to just replace the oven.
