this is a direct drive,no belts, good washer you won't find any washers built like this anymore,on top console pop off the clips on each side, then remove the two phillips screws, lift the top console, with a regular screw driver stick in into the hole where the clip goes into frame and on top of the clip and push forwards and the clip will pop out, then there's a lid switch a white wire connector on the right top, unplug it,now grab the cabinet and tilt it up and pull back and remove the cabinet.if the motor is humming and it's not draining it sounds like some thing is stuck in the pump or a bad pump, look down and you'll see the pump on the front of the motor, with a screw driver pop off the two clips and slide the pump off,get a piece of wire and stick it into the white connector where you disconnected the lid switch from, this will jump out the switch, set the timer to spin and run it,if the motor spins then you know the pump is jammed or bad.let me know what you find.the pump part is WP3363394

No belt on your machine. Sounds like motor coupler that joins motor and transmission is broken. Very inexpensive part but a few steps involved in getting machine disassembled Look up YouTube video on replacing motor coupler on Whirlpool washer.

Somethnig is wrong with your transmission. Since it is leaking, the seals are broken or damaged. The water leaked in your transmission. The problem with Whirlpool washing machines, the motor is directly coupled with the transmission. There is a high probability that the leaking water corroded the transmission, thereby freezing it. Your best bet is to have the transmission and the water leak fixed. Do not run the washing machine till you have this fixed, otherwise, you face the chance of losing your motor.

If it fills, washes then just stops dead at the rinse cycle, the most likely (almost certain) cause is a faulty lid switch. Located on the right hand side when standing in front of the machine. It is replaced quite easily by taking the outer panelling of the washer off (all one piece, front and sides). The clips for the panelling hide under the control panel, which can be rotated out of the way by removing with 2 screws on the back of the control panel

Probably the solenoid is bad and needs to be replaced. Common problem easily fixed with replacement. The other problem could be the door switch which will not allow the spin cycle unless the door is closed.
