Energy conections
The speakers can be tested with a meter, but if the voltage is different from the USA you may have damaged them instantly if connected to wrong voltage, I presume if I understand correctly it is some kind of surround sound system, voltage in North America is 110=120 volts and 50=60 Hz.
Bose 321 DVD drive failure
Found another help site similar to FixYa where a person had posted that they successfully replaced their failed DVD ROM drive in their BOSE 3-2-1 Series I unit with a later model Toshiba SD-M1712 drive. There are 2 plastic trim bits and the metal DVD drive unit cover that need to be swapped between the old drive and the new PC type drive to complete the repair. I located and ordered a new drive and spent last evening removing the old drive from the BOSE. To remove the old drive all that is really necessary is to remove the lid from the BOSE unit and pop off a black steel holdown assembly across the top of the failed drive. Once that is done the old just drive lifts out and the replacement is virtually the same as swapping out a drive in your PC. I am awaiting arrival of the replacement OEM drive ($25) from some place in Texas. This just may work. BOSE wants hundreds of bucks and several weeks to repair their crappy unit. I will never purchase BOSE again. I had to also purchase a power supply in years past for this very lightly used unit and that was $300 and a lot of aggravation using the BOSE repair system. I have trouble just throwing this unit away because we spent $1000 hard earned $'s to buy the "best". I was certainly fooled. If this doesn't work I'm only out $25.
Converter needed
If your unit is from the USA, 120 volt/ 300 watts.
EU is 220-240V / 300 Watts. Best choice is to go to Bose service center in EU and have your transformer inside your box replaced with 220-240V for EU operation. That way you don't have to worry about a converter. If not, 2nd choice is buy a step-down transformer 220-240V input and 120 Volt output that can handle 300Watts.
Good Luck.

Cd says no disc
Try and wipe the CD with a non abrasive cloth in a circular motion and then stick it back in the drive. If it is still not recognized trouble shoot your problem by trying the CD in another (compatible) device. If the CD does not work in the other device (computer, if audio CD try a different CD player, etc..) then you can be fairly sure that the CD is bad and seek to return it. If the CD works in a different device with no issues then their may be a problem with your CD drive.
Will not power up
I have a computer that just went through a slight move and may have been through a few shakes and minor bumps along the way.The
computer will not power up. I can plug it in and once I switch the
power supply to on the motherboard light lights up indicating to me that
it is recieving power however the switch does nothing. I have unhooked
the switch and tried jump starting the computer by using the two *****
wires and a screw driver to see if i could bring it to life but with no
success. I have also pulled out the CMOS battery on the motherboard and
had no luck after that as well. What should be my next step in
diagnosis or what is this indicating?Any help will be greatly
appreciated. The computer is about 2years old excluding the primary
hard drive that is probably around 4 years old.No fans or
anything will turn on. The only thing that lights up is the motherboards
LED which to me means it shouldnt be the power supply although I'm no
expert. PLEASE HELP!! ...Well I have gone over all of the wires
and hardware and everything seems to be seated well. I have asked this
to other message boards as well and I seem to get two main responses
either the motherboard or the PSU need to be replaced, but I have yet to
here an explanation why one over the other.there also does not
appear to be any burn marks or anything like that on the motherboard.
The only odd thing I noticed was a couple weeks before the move the date
and time on the computer were off by a few months days hours and
minutes, but everything appeared to have worked fine after. No warnings
of any kind in windows xp pro ever. Just stopped working after the move
