I have a 4GB Micro
If several pc's are not recognizing it then clearly it's dead: junk it, it can't be fixed.

There pretty much all going to come with another memory card but they are really cheap. Just get one the same class number at least to get the best speed. Class 10 is the highest.

YOU MIGHT HAVE DAMAGED SOME PART WHILE PULLING OUT THE DRIVE. SOME PART IS NOT CONNECTING WITH THE LEADS AND THE CIRCUIT IS NOT COMPLETED. HENCE THIS PROBLEM. TRY TO PUT THINGS BACK PATIENTLY THE WAY IT WAS EARLIER . THINGS MIGHT START WORKING.

Your video card is an NVidia, the BIOS error is not related to your problem.
First of all make sure the card is good - have it tested by the shop that sold it to you - they just put it in another pc and see if the pc boots with it. If it is then either the card has been improperly seated in the socket or the power source is incapable of delivering the 300 watts needed by this card - assuming that you have plugged in the power connector in the card.
Reseat the card and if this doesn't fixes it replace the power source wit one delivering at least 550 watts real.
Lap top will not start
make sure the RAM is securely seated and the RAM socket is dust free your laptop might not be compatible with ddr2 RAM also always keep the largest RAM closest the CPU central processing unit and keep the same brands/types of RAM some motherboards will not accept 2 different brands/types of RAM

How to install PNY OPTIMA 2GB DDR2 667 MHz memory card in lap top
Turn the computer off.
Remove the battery.
Unplug the AC adapter.
Turn the computer bottom-up.
Look for a few screws that secure a small panel.
Unscrew those screws, and remove the panel.
If you've selected the right panel, you should see your current RAM.
On the LEFT and RIGHT edges, there are small "fingers" that are holding the RAM.
Gently pull those fingers away from the RAM, and it should pop-up slightly, and you should be able to remove the RAM.
Notice that the "notch" in the middle of the RAM is slightly off-centre.
Insert the new RAM into the socket, and gently press down, until those two fingers "click" to grab the new RAM.
Depending on your "old" RAM, you may have:
* one "occupied" RAM slot (1GB), and one "empty" RAM slot;
* two "occupied" RAM slots (512MB/stick).
So, you may have to remove one RAM stick, to expose an "empty" RAM-slot "hidden" under the RAM.
Or, the "empty" RAM-slot may be visible without removing the RAM.
Or, you may have to remove one of the 512MB RAM-sticks, in order to free-up a slot for the "new" RAM.
Replace the cover-panel, and screw it in.
Reconnect the battery.
Reconnect the power-supply.
Start the computer.
Click Start
Point at My Computer
Right-mouse click on My Computer
Choose Properties
It should display your CPU-speed and the "new" amount of installed RAM.

Try looking for a message in the BIOS startup screen usually delete or an "F(X)" something button i.e. F1 or F2 That says it will let you chose your boot device. If you can than press that and chose the hard disk option. If it doesnt let you or it doesn't work than theres probably something wrong with your hard drive and I doubt it has much to do with your video card unless the driver caused it. In that case try starting your computer in safe mode by pressing F8 after the BIOS startup and selecting safe mode and then uninstalling the driver from the change/remove applications part of the control panel. Of course if none of that works you could just yell and swear at HP until they help you. :)

As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.

If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired an
