My uniflame has two burners
When you say two burners, I believe you are referring to the pilot flame and the main burner. The pilot flame has to light and heat the thermocouple befoe the main burner will ignite. The pilot flame will not light if: there is not enough gas in the tank, the pilot jet is clogged, or the regulator is bad. Check the tank to make sure it has gas. The next thing to check is the pilot jet. You have to take the heater apart, somewhat, to get to the pilot jet. The tube and the orifice need to be cleaned out, compressed air in a can and a pipe cleaner make the job a little easier. If this does not work, replace the reglator and hose.
I have an ES 800 Infared patio heater Can't turn the gas/igniter dial
- Check the propane tank to make sure it is not empty or nearly empty. If the tank is empty, replace it with a new one.
- Ensure that the propane tank valve is turned on fully.
- Check that the hose connecting the propane tank to the heater is not kinked or damaged. If it is, replace the hose.
- Check that the regulator and the burner are clean and free from any debris that may be blocking the gas flow.
- Check that the igniter is properly positioned and free from any debris. You may need to clean the igniter or replace it if it is damaged.
- If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact a qualified technician to further diagnose and repair the problem with your heater.
Remember to always follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when working with gas-powered heaters, and to only attempt repairs that you are comfortable and qualified to perform.
