Re-wire stereo in rover 400
The following should be right, unless your car has different wiring colours, there are a few variants...
Yellow and Red = Switched +'ve feed from the ignition
White and Blue = Permanent +'ve feed
Black = Earth (-'ve)
Red and Black = is for the illumination when sidelights are switched on

The power buttons doesnt turn off and is there a
there is a power button on your deck, but you must get to the screen where the clock is, touch the button and it will shut off, if not then we need to trouble shoot the situation, which is easy, if you take out your deck. and if you can find the blue wire w/ the white stripe that is located on your deck this is your remote wire, this cut the deck on and off, when hooked up properly, first your gonna need to extend this wire, so it can reach the fuse panel, then you need to locate the fuse that says cigarette lighter, pull the fuse out, and stick the extended remote wire there, then reinsert the fuse. now the deck should be off, now if you put the key in and turn it to on, the deck will come on, and when you turn the car off, it will swtay off, this will work i bet my rep on it.

I have a pioneer 6800 dvd and I seem to be getting
If yoa are using an amplifier, pioneer is notorious for not having a strong enough ground on the sheild of the rca's. What I do is get a splitter (1 male 2 female - radio shack or somewhere) Cut one of the female ends of and strip back the first sheild. It will be braided, take that and ground it to the black ground wire of the radio and it should be fine.
