I have a Pioneer DVR-530H-S
Unplug the Unit For Few Minutes, say 30 Minutes and then Turn it ON.If Problem Persists,Try using a cleaning disc a couple of times, as directed. The laser becomes impeded with microns of dust and dirt flying around in the machine at high speeds, and should be cleaned about every 6 months of use.I recommend Maxell, Recoton, Allsop and the like.
If Problem Persists,Take the case off, and with the power applied, have the drawer open, unplug promptly.Keeping drawer open, look for the small laser eye, underneath where the disc rotates when playing.
Wet a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol, and work any thin film of contaminants off the surface of the eye, then taking a clean, lint-free cloth and polishing surface well.Repeat, until no question of pristeen cleanliness is obtained.Test unit out for 16X play, focusing your eye away from the laser eye.If necessary, re-record a segment in 16X to verify.
If Problem Still Persists, more often it Confirms Internal Fault. It could be either a small Malfunction in Circuit Board or Servo Controller or any of the Component Responsible for Speed.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
