Temperature on Keg Cooler (DKC644BLS) is dropping below freezing

Mine did this as well. last night the diplay read "LE" and the temp controls and the C/F buttons were unresponsive. I called Danby. Although I was on hold for 30 minutes, when they did answer they were very helpful. As mentioned elsewhere here, the touchpad has gone bad. You can order it right over the phone. The price of the touchpad is only $2 and shipping is $7. I ordered 2 of the touchpads (why not, right?) and the shipping was still $7 for the both. # for Danby is1-800-263-2629. Make sure your phone is charged.

Older Superior Brand Kegerator Freezing

Sounds like the fan can be running backwards. I'm not sure of you exact model, but it has to match the air flow of the original unit. Do you remember? Some manufacturers use reversable motors and are some what easy to reverse.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Major leaking with kegerator (DKC645BLS)

Using a tray is not the answer. Your tapper is not propperly lineing up with your kegs inlet. Try replacing your tappers washer and o ring, if this does not work you need to replace the tapper itself. It is most likely bent and not propperly lineing up.

Temperature - Is fan supposed to constantly run or is it controlled by thermostat

You said ,Top half of Danby DKC645BLS refrigerator 10 degrees warmer than bottom half. Bottom half cooling to approx. 34 degrees.

Is it running all the time without cycling off and on as it should be doing?
Sorry to have to tell you this news.
But this would mean a bad thermostat or insufficient freon in the cooling system.

The same issue with the fact that one compartment is warm and the other is cool!

Let me know that service tells you!

Thank You

Danby DKC645BLS Tap is Jammed

The sugars in the beer are causing it to stick, if you don't use it regularly it dries stuck. You can sometimes gently force it, but it would probably be better to disassemble and soak the tap.

Take out the temp sensor in the white cage on the left, and put it in a glass of water. That will measure liquid temp instead of air temp. your beer is too warm

Thermostat

It's the Danby "auto-defrost" feature. It cycles off every 24 hrs to defrost, at which time the temp rises (as the unit isn't running!). Not much you can do. By the way, the blue LED temp display isn't accurate. It NEVER gets 36 (liquid temp) inside the Danby unless you do the following: Open the door and look to the back left. There is a small grate covering the temp sensor. Remove the grate and place the sensor into a small cup of water. The sensor will now read the "liquid" temp inside the keg, and not the "air" temp. The Danby will then cool the inside to a more beer friendly temp, and should not only cut back on foam, but taste better.
