The 'up' temperature button doesn't work on my

I was able to fix my problem. Hopefully you have the same problem I had as it was only a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 as far as difficulty to fix.

Short answer: Just pull out your oven and access the back side of the control panel and you should see the issue immediately. Should be free to fix.

Long Answer:

Get access to the back of your oven. Unscrew the two cover panels on back top of the oven. These panels give you access to the oven's control circuit board. Once the panels are removed you will see the circuit board which controls the oven. It is screwed down in a few places but the edges are merly 'snapped in' to a plastic mount. Over time pressing the 'up' button apparently was is much for the poor little plastic mount and the corner of the circuit board nearest the up button pops out. Push the card back into the mount and then reinforce the mount so the corner will not pop out again. I used a small round wood dowl that I just happened to find in the garage as a way to apply constant pressure against the mount. I put the dowl between the mount and the inside top of the oven. Not a very pretty fix but it works. Hopefully it doesn't get really hot back there. I pushed on the up button with the power on and confirmed everything was still working and then put everything back. Hope this helps. It was easy to fix.

Plastic / maybe electrical smell

Personally, I do not cook indoors with gas (outdoor, yes), but any time you have an issue with gas cooking ranges....you need to call a professional. We are connected to Centerpoint Energy and so I would call them. this could be a very serious gas leak issue. You don't say if you are on a propane conversion type, or utility supplied gas. that smell could be your only clue to something not good. Did your smoke alarm or CO detector go off? You could call your local gas company to ask the questions, if there is a warranty for your range, call that store. You don't say the age of the range. That comes into play as making suggestions. Please error on the side of safety. Get a professional to deal with this.

Will not fully heat to temp setting; takes 2 min B4 gas ignition 2 heat.

Time for the gas valve to open fully can be a few minutes, I've seen them take up to 3 minutes to open, so its not unusual. Hoverer, the temp issue may be due to your burner's gas jets being clogged with ash, etc. Remove the burner and inspect, the holes or jets should be nice and clear, any clogged ones need to be opened use a safety pin or something similar to open, try no to make the hole any bigger then it is. You may also find it may light quicker since there will be less back pressure in the line once the jets are cleaned.

Whirlpool washer finishes but sometimes doesnt drain/ rinse. It finishes sometimes with the dirty water in it and sometimes with the rinse water in it. Yet sometimes it finsishes everything correctly.

Hi give this a go. Do a hot wash with some calgon or other washer cleaner no clothes just the cleaner I would put more than is normally recommended in try that a couple of times. I think your pipework and level switches are clogging up with crud. Hope this helps Steve

Why do i smell gas?

Either one or more of the hobs or oven may be turned on but not lit or there is a leak. Check all controls are turned off, if you can still smell gas I would recommend turning the gas off at the meter point and calling either a professional gas fitter or the gas emergency services. It would also be wise to not smoke and open a window or door until the gas smell has gone.

Why do I smell gas when the hoses are good?

That stove has sealed burners. It is not uncommon for folks to try and raise the top and when they do they break the lines on the front to the front sealed burners. To lift the top ya must twist each burner a quarter turn then get it out far enough to remove the screws which hold the burner tubing in place. Once them screws is removed you can lift and look for leaks. I have also seen places where the oven tubing bends get a small leak down to the oven valve. One more thang to look for is a dim ignitor. if it is dim and weak it might be allowing a tiny amount of gas to come out before ignition. Bubble test for leaks you must!!
