Off balance in spin cycle

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

My Neptune washer doesn't empty all of the water. Is it suppose to hold water?

The Maytag Neptune front load has a liquid counter weight that makes it sound as though it is not empty. This is a normal sound, they all sound like that, even mine.

Mah 6700 is stopping after 1 minute with a reading of NF

Did you check the screens in the watervalve when you removed the supply hoses? They can crud up over time and restrict the flow. Clean them in-place with a toothbrush and spray bottle. Reconnect hoses and test. While testing move temp switch from HOT to COLD to WARM settings and observe flow of water and temp of water in each position. Cold may flow a little faster than HOT but should be close to same flow rate. WARM however should have twice the flow rate of hot and cold temps seperately. Let me know what you find.

Maytag 3000 washer has error message SUD. What is this and how do I fix it. It occurs in the spin cycle every time I wash. I am using Tide HE detergent. It even does it when I use Zero detergent.

The SUD message usually indicates that the sensor detected excess suds and shut down the washer until the suds subsided. To my knowledge, Zero isn't an HE approved detergent so the amount you use has to be really tiny to avoid the SUD error. With the Tide HE, you still may be using too much detergent. However, you should check the drain pump and outlet hoses. Sometimes a slow or blocked drain can trigger the error. There is often a filter at the drain to keep foreign objects that were left in the clothes from damaging the pump. Make sure that nothing is in this "coin trap". Have a bucket ready when you take apart the drain to catch the water left in the washer. The pump is accessed through the back panel. (Some front-loaders actually have an access panel so you don't have to remove the entire back.)If you see excessive suds during the wash cycle, run the washer through a complete cycle while it's empty without using any detergent. This often will rinse out any detergent that may have been left from previous loads.I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

ATF8000FS1

hello there again and thanks for the update ok their is a few things that may explain the reason why this is happening first there is a rubber tube that flows down from the softner dispenser that may be clogged so you may have to remove the back panel on the machine to see it and to get to italso there are solinoids that operate different things on these machines like 1 for the hot and cold water and yours may have 1 for the softener that adds it at a certain time ok Or you may also have a timer issue that is not telling the dispenser to allow for the dispenser to let the softner in to the machineand the last thing and hopefully not the one that is your problemis the controle module itself this is the brains of the machine it tells everything when to do it and at what time SO i would first look at the tube and make 100% sure that it is working and is clear and pour hot hot water into the tube and see if it comes in the wash tub area if not then you know where your clog is at Next n check to see if you do indeed a have a series of solinoids meaning more than 2 on some of thee machines they are located on the controle panel area it is where you see the 2 water hoses going into the machines there are the water inlet solinoid valves there may be a nother one that is used for the softner dispencer so look for them if so let me know on this this is important ok Please keep me posted on how this is going so i can continue to help you there is still a lot of stuff we can do bu i need you to check these things out first ok? Best regards Mike
