Clarion (VRX765VD) Car DVD Player Questions & Answers
Have sound, no picture
see if the disc turns, if not, try adjust slightly clockwise the preset resistor located near the laser head, here, it's a critical adjustment,usually there's 2 preset one is coarse the other is fine to define its beam's length and fineness but also check from a mirror reflection at right angle if you have a beam emission from the laser. If you have a beam too short not to touch the disc surface then you have a no disc indicator. But if you have a revolving disc, have audio but no video, then you have simple test to do, after 5 minutes of operation try touch the top of all IC marked with the word 'video' with the back of your finger to feel for excessive heat, if one produces too much heat in excess of 75degcel then you may replace the PCB or time has come to buy a new set.

Clarion VRX925VD gives me an
Error 6.CD error message. Could not read data from disc because it is upside-down. it's mean the problem caused by the optical lens of your DVD..you can try to clean first the surface of the lens..You can clean the lens with rubbing alcohol or one of the lens
cleaner discs. If that doesn't work, I would guess the pickup is bad. At
which point you would be better off just buying a new CD mech. But, if I
remember correctly, most of Clarion's CD mech's are really expensive;
70-160$
It's up to you to decide if you want to replace it or not. Hopefully help

How To Bypass The Brake Switch To Watch Videos While Driving?
Clarify please-does the screen show "Audio Only" when a DVD is inserted? If so, this is because the parking brake lead is not set up to work. Normally, the green lead connects to the parking brake negative on the car. This means you don't get video unless the parking brake is set. To bypass this, you need to wire the green parking brake lead to one terminal on a toggle switch, then you run a wire from the radio ground lead to the other terminal. toggle the switch up and down and you should have video. You can get a pretty small toggle switch and mount it in a concealed place.
This is by no means advocating watching video while driving!!!!
