I need a driver that

I found THIS that may help you (click for a direct link). Scroll down to find the lan driver. It is dated from 07 so it may be of use, yet you may already have this one. Sometimes the motherboard manufacturers don't update as quickly as we would like, so it may be out of date, therefore making your motherboard obsolete.
Hope this helps

Just installed the board and can't get any

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working hope this helps also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer

also check the Cmos battery and computer ram make sure they are securely seated

hope this helps

No sound from the computer,

I will gve you a couple of things to try first;
1 Find your speaker icon in your taskbar, lower right of screen. Is there a red x on it? Right click on it and a window should come up with your device. It should show a green check on left and power bars on right> right click on the device. A window will pop up and you should see "disable". If you see "enable" click on that and exit. Right click on speaker again and click on "open sound mixer" and adjust your volume.
2 Clcikon "start" find "control panel" and click on to open. In your list(icons), find "device manager". Right click on that, open and click on continue. Click on the box with + next to "sound audio and video controllers". You should see a drop down with your device. right click on it and you should see "disable". If you see "enable" click on that and exit. Right click on it again and click on the "properties" tab You should see "this device is working correctly". Exit that and click on your speaker icon and open your sound mixer to adjust volume.
If this doesn't work please provide me with your computer make and model, Your current Windows version and, a complete manufacturer and model number for *********** board( AMD's board was used by alot of different manufacturers, ie, Pc Chips. Let m know at "add a comment"

Need to know compatible video card for M863G V5.1A

Hi,

Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today. You didn't specify your operating system or how much system ram you have. I will assume that you have a 32 bit OS (XP or Vista) and the maximum supported system ram of 2 GB. Here are some AGP cards:

http://www.outletpc.com/video-cards-agp-video-cards.html

And here are some PCI cards:

http://www.outletpc.com/video-cards-pci-video-cards.html

I would tend to go with an AGP card in your case because the board seems to favor that approach. You can go all the way up to 256 MB if you like. Depends on what you want.

Several years ago I used to game with 2 GB of system ram and a 512 GB video card. It was a PCI Express however.

If you are in need of additional help, please let us know.

Thank you for allowing us to help you today.

Blank monitor upon turning on PC

Well.... The motherboard could be dead... or check the power supply unit. Check the memory chips, see if the capacitors around the processor looks blown up (then motherboard is kaput) or make sure the monitor is properly connected to the motherboard monitor port... It could be numerous reasons ... See if the processor cooler fan is running and check if the processor's cooling paste is OK which would cause the processor to run TOO HOT and would prevent the PC to start-up etc etc....

I suppose you mean motherboard drivers and not drive. as indicated in your message.

It just think that it is important for you to be sure that you don't have a compact disk that came with the motherboard before going to download them from the net. This is important for compatibility reasons.

Secondly, there are many motherboard models in existence and therefore will be important for you to provide the Model, manufacturer e.g. an Intel, Mercury, VIA etc.

It is also important to note that the need for drivers for a motherboard is the hardware componets installed with it like sound drivers, network drivers, VGA drivers, BUS etc. This also means that you can directly get the drivers of the respective hardwares in your motherboard by identifying them as being AC97, Avance Logic and Cmedia for sound cards, Intel, Broadcom and CNET drivers for network cards, or Intel (R) E7221 and ATI drivers for Graphics.

If you can provide any of the above, it can be easy for me locate the drivers you want.

Good luck.

A match for M863G (M863G15CV22ARV000) is a Mercury Mainboard PVCLE266M. Getting any drivers for this is real tough. http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=439 Some drivers will download & other will not.

Check the above links & see if any match you're motherboard.
A visual check. If you see the correct board use the link to download the needed driver/manual.

Good luck!
