Monitor shuts off and on

I had the same problem, so I switched the Auto Source feature to "Manual" and so far it's working fine for the past 2 days, if I run into the problem again I'll update this message.

On the side panel of your monitor, press the top button to access the menu, scroll down to the setup menu (by pressing the 3rd button down on the panel), press the 4th button down to enter the setup menu, scroll down to "Auto Source", use the 4th button to select, "Auto" & "Manual" are your choices.. press the 2nd button down to select "Manual" then the top button to exit the menu(s).

This monitor is set up to be able to do multi display with the software included. Utilizing both Digital and Analog signals. I'm not using this feature so I'm not sure how switching the Auto Source off will affect the performance of this feature.

Norton Internet Security 2005 English 90-Day trial stops

Just cancel the setup. Or you can press Alt+F4 to automatically close it out.

You should check out AVG Free edition for your anti-virus needs. I dig it.

Trying to upgrade RAM - won't boot after new RAM installed

Install the RAM on memory slot and Switch on your system and go to BIOS settings. There you can check whether your RAM is working properly or not. If it shows no memory installed then the RAM Chip may be damaged.

Cpu upgrade

Hi Keith... here is all I could find on this machine, I assume this is how yours is set up. Component details are almost impossible to get on E-machine units, they just do not provide them.
  • Processor Intel Celeron D 356 / 3.33 GHz
  • Memory 512.0 MB / 2.0 GB (max)
  • Hard Drive 120.0 GB - 7200.0 rpm
  • Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista
First, you want to check to see if your proc even can be changed; many of E-machine procs are permanently attached to the motherboard and cannot be removed; this is the cheapest way to manufacture a computer, and E-machines is bottom of the line quality computer (no insult intended, just fact). Since I don't know what CPU socket the T3604 has I can't tell you if the Intel CPU would fit it. Next, I don't know what the Northbridge is running at; if it is less than 1066 there will be a bottleneck and there is no significant gain. At this point, I suggest that you not spend a lot of money on this, better to save and build your own computer. If you are a hardcore gamer looking for high framerates you really don't want this machine. Better to load in more RAM if you have no other options. Here is something I ran across: http://www.overclock.net/t/763634/what-to-upgrade-emachines-t3604 If I had the above details I could give you an answer.

www.dynamite.com might still sell what you want :> Just kiddding!Try a complete wiping of the hard-drive unless you are doing an upgrade, you will lose all data on the drive. If that doesn't work, you might not be running enough ram memory for 7 to run cleanly on you machiine, go ahead and upgrade.Hope this helps!

Have E machine t6522 that wont boot or allow me into anything on it cause the keyboard wont work.It flashes when power on,but will not stay on.USB on all sides are also inactive. HELP!!!???

I found the micro switch power button was broke on a lap top and also on a home computer in another sitution. I replaced the switch and all worked well again. On the lap top the internal spring in the switch was broke and in the home computer the switch would stick. This might seem as too easy of a fix in your case, but I would sure look at this possibility first. If it's not the power switch, all the past suggestion are in order. Good luck

Type the recovery password into the "Password" text box and then click "OK". Click "Next" To start the recovery process. Click "Finish" and then wait for your computer to restart. This procedure could take several minutes. Once your computer has restarted, you'll be prompted to create a new user account, enter the date and time and set up the internet settings. or if you are running XP If you set your machine back to eMachines factory settings, it might help you for a short while but if you don't have effective virus protection your problems will return in short order. You should get rid of this virus with an effective virus remover. You can run Bitdefender's free online scan which doesn't need to be downloaded http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html If you know when you got the virus, you can do a system restore to a time before the virus was on your system. This article tells you how to run it from safe mode http://bertk.mvps.org/html/safemode.html Your best protection in general is a complete internet security suite such as Bitdefender or Norton internet security 2009. More information here http://www.ask-the-computer-doc.com/comp... If you need to totally rebuild your system and you don't have a recovery disk, contact eMachines to get one. You might also try a Windows repair install if you have the operating system disk. Follow the directions here for XP http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepa... I have aT3830 that wont power on

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=D845GVSR-BO-R I would like you to 'jumpstart' it, and then post back in a Comment. Jump the Soft Power On of the 20-pin ATX main power cable. Power supply plugged into power, 20-pin ATX main power cable plugged into motherboard. Straighten out a paperclip, then bend it into a U-shape. Put black plastic electrical tape around the top of the U. Turn the U upside down. You are going to use the 'legs'. The legs go down in the back of the main power cable's connector. (Where the wires go in) One leg goes down into a socket hole with the Green wire, RIGHT NEXT TO the wire, and MAKE SURE it touches the metal terminal at the bottom. The other leg of the U-shaped jumper wire goes down into ANY socket hole with a Black wire. Contact made is brief. Does the Power Supply turn on? As stated, post back in a Comment. http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20
