How many processors supports my motherboard p4m80-m4 biostar ? specially can it support dual core processor...??? also tell me about supported graphics card please help me>>>???

You have a very old motherboard here. It only supports the older AGP 8x video cards. Good luck finding one of those anymore that is worth the price, and don't expect anything you find to be new in box. This is probably where your HD video woes start, although the board was never designed for the higher frame rates that HD requires to be viewable. As far as the processor goes, this board has the Socket 478 for Intel processors. There are no dual-core processors that are supported by this socket. Here is a link to an article that shows what processors are supported by the socket. Be advised, however, that depending upon the BIOS revision on the board, some of these may not work properly, if at all. Socket 478 Socket mPGA478B Really, if you want to view HD, it's time for a real upgrade.

Ok i have a Biostar P4M80-M4 Motherboard and i can

Disconnect the hard disk and reboot - wait for its absence to be detected then shut down the pc , reboot and go into the BIOS and make sure the AGP is enabled. Shut down the pc again, insert the new video card, connect the monitor to it then start the pc and go into the BIOS - now you should be able to disable the onboard one.
Connect the hard disk and you're good to go.

P4m80-m4 usb giving 1.0 instead

You have not mention your Operating System(OS) on your PC System.

To get USB 2.0 support for VIA Chipset Mainboard
1. For Win 98 OS, you have to install "VIA chipset USB 2.0 driver"
2. For WinXP OS you must install, at least Service Pack 1, (recommended you install the lastest Service Pack 3) to to get USB 2.0 support.
3. Install the VIA Chipset drivers for your Mainboard ie "VIA Hyperion 4-in-1 driver v5.12A".

Hope it helps.

Will P4M80-M4 motherboard support dual channel memory?

This is an older board. The VIA chipset pre-dates dual channel memory support. If your board is working fine, this should not be a concern.

I have got win vista

For problem #1 you need to be sure you have the proper codec installed for playing the movie..you can obtain codecs from the internet...also...do you know how much memory is installed on the video card..you may need more...the more video ram you have..the better the picture and the way it is buffered..as for problem #2, you can go to the manufacturer's website for the make of soundcard you have...or you can check for it at microsoft.com....as far as an agp card...go to the biostar website to see what they recommend...you can download the user manual here for the motherboard also..which can be very helpful in setting up the m-board

Doesn't post. cpu fan spins, hard drive powers up

I would actually try checking your system components are installed in the right way. then, I would take the battery off and put it back the next day. then,i would replace the cpu.
However, socket 478 motherboards are Very Cheap nowadays so i wouldnt lose sleep over it.. However, you should keep trying and maybe it'll fire up someday... someday.. Good Luck and I hope this helps!
