Legacy Amp 2600 watt HELP
Hello e_cody_e,
The settings you have will not break anything and may sound OK.
But they may not be optimum for getting the best bass from your system. The SubSonic setting filters out frequencies below the threshold of hearing allowing the amp to put more power into the frequencies that can be heard. So, it should be set to about the same frequency that your enclosure is tuned for or just a little lower. If your enclosure is tuned for 35Hz, then the subsonic should be close to maximum.
Similarily, the low pass sends all frequencies below the setting to the subs, (other than those blocked by the subsonic filter) and is commonly referred to as the "crossover" frequency. Typical crossover frequencies for subwoofers are 60Hz, 80Hz and 100Hz. For a ported enclosure, lower is probably better.
The phase shift should be set to the position that best synchronizes the bass with the music. Because of the additional wiring required for the subs, the signal to them is sometimes slightly delayed causing the bass to be "out-of-sync" with the rest of the music. The thump of the bass comes just a little sooner or later than expected. If the bass sounds out of phase, turn the phase shift on, otherwise leave it off.
The "gain" or level control allows you to match the amps input to your head units subwoofer output. The best setting is usually as high as possible without distortion. Set it by turning up the head unit volume to about 3/4 maximum and then advance the amp gain until your subs just begin to distort. Then back it off slightly.
These settings should allow your amp to put the most power into the frequencies that your subwoofers are designed for and hence produce the loudest and lowest bass.
Hope this helps.
I have a legacy 4000
Hook it up one way and turn it up a bit, then hook it up the other. As long as you don't crank the volume this won't hurt it.
The louder of the two is probably correct.
The Sub should move Outward with each bass hit, if it is backwards it will "****" in with each bass hit.
I am tryin to install
for a remote turn on you can use the acc off of the ing ( test 12volt when car is on befor crank goes to 0 during crank then comes back to 12 voltswhen car is running 12 volts also goes to 0 when ing is turned off and key is in off positon. 12 volts from the battery fused 12 inches from connection and ground. also are you using some sortof high level adapter for an audio signal( this would tap into left and right spks either front or rears and provde you with rcas for your amp
Have a jl audio 500/1 i think something is wrong
you could have too small of wiring going to the amp for one.. you need to check the ohm load that you have the subs wired at to the amp... this is a HUGE reason for amps not putting out like they should... If it's low of an ohm load for the amp then the amp will act funny and shut off a lot... if you leave it like that it can fry the amp.
Forgot how to wire my
You need to pick up some wire. 1x Red-power with a fuseable link. 1x Black-ground, 1x 2 conection RCA wires, that will be of length to come from the back of your cd player to the place of your amplifier. and a single wire preferably BLUE to run from the MEMORY WIRE that is BLUE also and will be most likely marked on the back of your cd player. If you are trying to install this onto a stock car cd player, you only have a 10% chance it will work, because most stock stereos do not come with a RCA output jack on the rear. This set of wires can be purchased in a pack from any Walmart or car audio center.
Now take the RED WIRE With fuseable link and connect the end with the fuse to your Positive battery terminal. Now heres the hard part, you need to run this wire from inside your engine bay to your Amplifier most likely in your trunk, and to do so look for a Rubber grommet or any entry point from there into the car. After running the wire into the car, the running boards on the floor can pop out with a few screws and run the wire under the carpet, all the way to your Amp. After doing so leave that wire. Now you need to lift up your trunk floor mat and spare tire cover and look for a decent bolt that touches bare metal. THIS IS WHERE YOUR GROUND MUST GO. The ground - will need to have a good contact with metal because the amplifire recycles its energy out of the car. Now, you need to run the RCA cables and you need to run the MEMORY WIRE, this will cause you to take out your cd player and look at the back. Insert the RCA cables into the red and white holes that say Audio out or SUB OUT. Then you need to hook up the blue MEMORY WIRE from the back of the cd players harness to your Amplifiers MEMORY Port. After running all these wires the same way back as your power you can now hook up your Amp. The 12v+ needs to be hooked up to your RED POWER WIRE. MAKE SURE TO DISCONECT FROM BATTERY 1st!!! The ground wire will go onto the GROUND or - terminal on your amp. The memory insert should be between the power and ground or on the other side of the power. IT HAS TO BE HOOKED UP FOR YOUR SYSTEM TO WORK! the memeory wire is the on switch. Now plug into the RCA wire to the AUDIO IN, and your almost their. you need 2 wires for each speaker you use on this AMP. 1 + and 1- ... Run the speakers to their marked destination and your done. EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE SCREWED IN TIGHT, use Oval wire clamps to make this a easier prosess. Now re-connect your battery and go to your cd player. ADJUST YOUR SETTINGS TO MAKE the best possible quality and turn it up. GOOD LUCK AND if this DIDNT AWNSER YOUR QUESTION PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thank you and keep on asking questions

No sound from wireless headphones in a toyota sienna
First thing to do is check to make sure that the batteries are properly charged.
Second, make sure that you have a clear line-of-site to the IR transmitter. Infrared (IR) works the same way that your TVs remote control works - if the signal is blocked, then you will not hear any sound.
Third, make sure that you are in the rear seat of the vehicle when listening to the sound. The IR transmitter only transmits to the rear seat, so you will not hear any sound if you are sitting in the front seats. This is a common problem that i see.
Lastly, make sure that the heapdhones you purchased are compatible with your 2006 2007 2008 2009 or 2010 Toyota Sienna. Remember that some older models require RF headphones, not IR headphones. I checked http://www.audiovideo2go.com for compatibility before I purchased my headphones. They have a useful listing of all the headphones and models of vehicles they are compatible with.
