I have a candy GOC590c. Dryer is running fine but no heat. I have replaced the thermal limiter and heating element and still no heat. What else can it be please ??

Reset the circuit breaker... The double breakers used for electric appliances can trip half-way, which will power the controls and motor, but not enough juice to heat the element

My Candy CIC60 dryer works fine till my homes fuse box cuts off power. Longest it worked plugged in was less than minute. House is new built, so i don't think problem is there. Dryer is used for 2yrs.

  • Do not risk a house fire!
Candy CIC60 User Instructions If all else fails, read the above. Hummmm.... An Electrician might be needed. If you house is under warranty, you should read the fine print. Here is why. It is possible that the breaker and/or wiring is under rated or defective. Check the amp draw rating on the breaker an compare it to the requirements of the drier. Installation / Operation link above If the drier is using the full amount of the breaker it will eventually weaken and fail to hold the load for as long as it did when new. An experienced electrician will be able to determine if this is the case. Actual current draw should be measured while drier is in operation. Replacing the breaker with a new one should fix it in that case. Worst case would be that the wiring and the breaker are not of sufficient size to handle the load. This would be a HOUSE FIRE RISK as the wire is acting as a heating element. Again an electrician can make this determination by measuring the voltage drop of the wire from breaker to drier. In the instructions included above, there is a phone number to the Manufacturer.
