Sony vx-515 dvd tray won't open
Mine was a Sony TS-P532 DVD in a Model GX315 player. A BLU-RAY disk got inserted and won't eject. Remove the player cover and on top of the drive is a 3 X 3 (approx) metal plate with a plastic wheel visible in it. Un clip the two sides of the metal plate and it will pivot up and the disk can be removed.

Liteon DVD recorder LVW-5045 has disc inside and won't open tray
Use your knuckles to knock on top of cabinet just above disc tray door while at the same time pressing open button,99% of the time disc tray will open. The problem you have is caused by a worn out belt drive or the tray is out of alignment. The disc tray belts only cost $2,when tray is open you can see the minature belt that controls door to the right.Use twizzers to remove and replace.Belt size 1.9

How do i hook up my dvd recorder to my dvd player?
You need RCA cables to do this. These have red yellow and white cable ends. The yellow is for video the white is for the left speaker, red for the right speaker.Run the RCA cables from the output of you DVD player to the INPUT of your dvd recorder.Run another set of RCA cables from the output of your dvd recorder to the input of your TV.Most modern tv's have these inputs. These RCA cables can be purchased at Radio Shack or places like Walmarts.

I have a DVD Recorder,
You need to replace the disc tray belt,it streches with age.It is called a square belt, size 1.9.To open try tapping on TOP of cabinet with your knuckles just above the disc tray door. While you are doing this press the Open button.Once again this must be done at the same time, the door will open 90% of the time. When you get it open you will see the little black square belt, this can be removed and replaced with a twizzers.Make sure belt is in the track if not it will jam and door won't close.

LVW-5005X DVD Recorder setup tv tuner
You have the wrong firmware,or cd is corrupted. These Liteon recorders have had some issues with the timers. The 5005xa can actually be transformed into the Ilo R04.Look on internet the Wizard has free firmware for your unit, look for iLO R04 which is almost identical to your unit.
If the remote is broke they are easy to replace ,if the recorder is a 5005xa the remote is a clone to ones used in the iLO RO4,used ones can be bought on Ebay for $10 to $20.If it is 5005XSA use the Liteon Rm 51 remote. The Gateway AR 230 recorder and some of the Akai remotes are clones to the Liteon5005XSA remotes.

TLX-04243B Dead set Red blink lite on right front corner
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
