Mag Innovision 19" LCD Flat-Panel Monitor LT916S - Page 3 Questions & Answers
LT765 S
Hi this is the way how to
examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on, you have to check that if you can see the image on the
screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find
the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the
icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps
inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you
cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter
board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by
yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show
leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have
soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If
anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,
Screen blacking out.
Hi, I used to fix a monitor from
Dell. There are 4 screws at the back of rear panel and no screw at front frame. If there
is no visible screw, you have to look for "capped" screw holes
(little covers that fit flush with the case to hide the screws). If you don't
see these neither, this must be a tension fit case. So, face the screen up and
look for "rectangular hole" on the side edge (usually at the bottom
edge of the screen). This will be a challenge to open without breaking it.
You'll need a very thin flat screw driver and wedge it into that narrow
rectangular hole. You can use any prybar if you don't have screw driver. It is
not too deep. You may stab something important inside and pry it. Once it
starts to spread, start sliding it along the seem and you should feel the
tension tabs start "popping" open. Continue to work your way around
until it's off.
For the metal plate that shields the back of the screen, There are some screws you have to deal with. Those screws are at the power and screen connectors.
Thank you,
Tan

MONITOR MAG LT916S
Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
Still "No Joy" with MAG Innovision 19" LCD
Replaced all 470mf caps still "No Joy" !
Question: There is a very large Capacitor rating 400V that has brown stuff on its side where it was folded down onto the board!
Is this some type of adhesive or has this capacitor blown!
Might sound like a really stupid question , but never took electronics courses just learned a few things from my best friends dad
Monitor went Blank / Black (MAG Inov...lt916s)

MAG LT916 lcd monitor wont power up
I'm afraid there really isn't much i can say about removing the cover but will say that it sounds like its toast and opening up the back is only going to confirm the fact that you really don't have any idea what's in there...lol...sorry to shoot it straight but I've been there. Start shopping.
Good luck
Degauss
A hand held soldering iron with a trigger will degauss a monitor. Don't actually touch the iron to the monitor. Just run it around the edges while holding the trigger. A little trick I picked up while working on radar sets.
How do you open a Mag Innovision LCD Monitor LT916s ?
There may be some interior support hooks that keep it together. look for metal clips between the crease of the front and rear pieces. Definitely use caution with opening as you do not want to force pressure against the screen.
My monitor was fine for
check the cable connected to the monitor
run another monitor on your pc and if it does the same , try installing a serarate graphics board and if you are already doing that, replace that graphic board
No sound on computer- MAG Innovision Model 468
Solution 1 It might have defaulted your sound button to mute Got to control panel Sound and see if sound has been muted
Solution 2 unplug jack out of plug at rear of computer test it in other jack holes what might have happened is that the default setting for speaker and mic might have swapped round best way is play some music and move jack plug around see if you get any sound
Solution 3 Sometimes the sound software needs re setting bring it up and re sett speekers and mike setting by the colours you have you jack in remember front and rear you will be mainly dealing with rear jack interface green pink blue white etc
hope this helps
