How do I replace power switch on fantom gforce 1tb

I have the same problem. These guys are clueless. I removed the warrenty sticker, undid the screws, and slid the hard drive bracket out easily with a little push. Unplug the wire connecting the power switch to the board. Push the switch out from the inside, applying presure to the top and bottom. You've removed the faulty switch. Replacing it is my new problem.

Will not run when plugged in or to the computer

If this external hard drive uses a power adapter and when it is plugged into the mains socket and you do not get a blue light or hear the hard drive spinn then most likely the power adapter is faulty and cannot supply power to the hard drive.

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red xright click to reinstall drivers or

if you can see your usb but its not workingports(com&lpt)right click update driver

sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable

just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems

if this fails to fix the problem you might have to install a usb 2 or 3 card they are cheap and easy to install you can buy these on Ebay very cheap hope this helps

Went to use it today and it fell on the floor and

Freezing a dropped drive wont help it.
The clicking you hear is a mechanical issue.
The drive is seeking it's "home" position" and cannot find it.
The data would need to be invaluable to send to a data recovery service and most start there evaluation at $300-$500 and charge by the megabyte for restored data
You can replace a 1Tb drive today for less then $100

The Hard Drive is on.

Hello vunit2007,
I've read your "post," and I think that the best solution to the 'problem is to:
Get an "Update on the Drivers and Software. "Most situations cannot be solve by 'pressing a couple of buttons'; sometimes We have to go into the "Control Panel," or go to a "Website" to get updates for the computer, "Drivers are needed for Hardware, eg, (Hard Drives, Printers, CD / DVD Players, Audio Sound, Speakers, Microphones, Mouse, Keyboards, and Webcams), to work correctly; also, some Software products." "Upgrading the computer in any way, or added a 'new' software product?" Causes the System Configurations, to change! Many cases involving "Upgrades from an 'older' {Operating System, eg. XP or Vista}, to Windows 7, can cause a change in "Hardware Devices," not functioning properly; or not to work at all!" "These easy instructions will help you solve these issues, and hopefully, we'll be able to fix the problem the first time." "This is what you need to do first!" 1. Click on the Website [below].2. Download the Fantom G-Force MegaDisk {NAS Source Code}, at the [botton of the page].3.Turn-off the computer.4. Disconnect the Hard drive.5. Restart the computer.6. Install the Drivers.7. Restart the computer again.8. Connect the Hard Drive.9. Turn on the Hard Drive.10. Check the in the -> Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Hard Drive / Mega Disk!11. Check in the Disk Management. "Let me know if you need more help, if it didn't fix the problem? Post a "Comment" to get more help. "I would appreciate it if you let me know! Best Regards, paul7of9 Click here for Download: http://www.micronet.com/support/software.htmScroll to the bottom of the page until you see the download for the "Fantom G-Force MegaDisk

My computers can not see the drive

It maybe the usb connection that is faulty. As a last resort you can take the drive out of that enclosure and fit it into a new caddy, or fit it straight inside a pc
