You have to have a power source going to the remote wire, there's most likely a remote wire on the deck, which you can connect it to. You don't necessarily have to have it hooked up properly, I've seen people run a small wire from the rem to the postive on the amp, though it makes it all-time power which will drain your battery over-time, also I've seen my buddies blow amps from that, lol. Probably not the best choice.

It plugs into the power antenna cord on your radio if your radio does not have a dedicated remote cord. The remote switch is so that you amp can detect when your radio is on and turn on too, or is off when your radio is off so as not to drain the battery

sounds like you have a wiring problem or the amp is bad. take it to a stereo shop.

the fuze could be blown on the amp or the speakers are to much power for the amp at full power so try to turn the amp to half and not to turn the speakers all the way up,.

It's likely that the output transistors failed. That's the most common cause for an amplifier to go into protection. With no power applied to the amp, set your meter to ohms and measure the resistance between the terminals of the output transistors. You should find none that have anything close to zero ohms between any of the terminals. If you find one or more that have ~0 ohms between therminals, they need to be removed from the circuit and checked. If you have several in parallel, it may seem as though the entire group is shorted but generally one fails and the others are OK. Of course, when you have one defective transistor in a group of parallel transistors, you must replace all of the transistors in that group. Open or broken emitter resistors can cause an amp to go into protect. If you don't find any shorted outputs, make sure there are no broken terminals on the emitter resistors.

Touching the supply to the radio to the radio ground effectively reversed the polarity and semiconductors hate that as it destroys many of them in microseconds. You might be lucky and find the only damage is some burned printed circuit tracks - but it could be much, much worse...

I would recommend you purchase a new harness. Connecting a wire to the individual pins and then insuring that none of the leads touch another is difficult at beat. Replacement power/speaker harnesses are only $7 to 10. A simple google search showed several vendors.

the esn is only active if the previous owner activated it. the user would of used a CD to be a key cd and that is how they are unlocked. if the cd is lost or damaged, Eclipse can give a code to unlock it. However the original owner needs to have registered the deck with eclipse and have some kind of ID like mother maiden name. there is also a second registration that can be done. which an eclipse dealer can do, it is for used cars with eclipse radios, and things like that. They can be real strict sometimes about giving out a code, and the authorized dealer has to be the one calling, and somtime that means a lot of time on hold.

The easiest way is to use a Smartphone and the Google Translate camera feature. Look for Settings - Language. Note that some models are for the home market only and are set in Japanese with no alternatives. It looks like yours may be one of them. https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/ECLIPSE-Navigation-AVN-Z05i-Ground-Bluetooth/dp/B016B9HJLG https://www.google.com/search?safe=off&rlz=1C1QJDB_enCA643CA644&sxsrf=ALeKk02ZF6sRzhOYr2Pf3w2Fse-EgBVY-Q%3A1605628375844&ei=1_GzX-uHM9HbtAap44XABw&q=Model+AVN-z05i.+change+language+to+English ..

Your Eclipse unit goes into protect mode when you blast the music to loud. Internal components probably failed and will have to be replaced to restore normal operation.
