Model 32440 Premium. After it turns on, why does it turn off?
Your Eclipse unit goes into protect mode when you blast the music to loud. Internal components probably failed and will have to be replaced to restore normal operation.

Try emailing tech support for the device. [email protected] I don't see anywhere in the manual where it describes how to get a disc or map updates. But you may have more luck at these websites by contacting support. The last link seems a company from which the map databases were acquired. I have eclipse AVN 7500, usb & audio cd is playing but video cd & dvd is not playing
Does it play video with parking brake engaged? If yes then need to bypass that or if no connect that wire to allow the unit to function. Legly it should be connected to Park brake circuit to only allow video plybck prked . if you ground the wire or use rely to bypss it then it cn ply ll time.

Unlock my stereo eclipse avn 5435
It needs a key cd . If you bought it second hand and did not at least get name of it since it can be set with any disc your out of luck. How do I have to restart my eclipse avn52d car audio cd drive after I changed my car battery ?
You must be inside the Eclipse in order to unlock the radio's security system. Insert the key in the ignition. Turn it clockwise one notch so some of the car's controls turn on, but not the ignition. Press the radio's "On" and "Screen/Text" buttons at the same time and hold both down until "SEC" appears on the radio's screen. After two seconds, the screen will change to read "DISC." Press the "Open" button on the front of the radio. The front panel should open it. Insert the Key CD into the CD slot. The message "SEC" appears. You should have received this CD when purchasing the car. If you don't have this CD, contact your Eclipse retailer for an extra one. Eject the Key CD by pressing the "Eject" button and close the front panel of the CD player.
