Denon CDR-W1500 2-Disc CD Recorder Questions & Answers
Vinyl recording turntable
The Denon will act just like a standard tape recorder. It should have an audio in, for recording. If that socket is connected to the audio out of a tape socket on your receiver, the Denon will pick up the signals that are sent to your receiver from whatever source. All you have to do is follow the instructions for recording on the Denon then. If you have lost the user manual for it, it's free on-line.
My CDRW 1500 reads:
(OPC = Optimum Power Calibration)
I checked the manual for a solution but didn't find any info directly related to your issue.
You can view the manual
here.
Sounds like you get that message when there are files already on the disc. I'd try using a different brand of media to record with before anything else.
If that fails then I would suggest you contact Denon tech support direct
here.
Hope this info helps!
Denon CDR-W1500 not recording
I had the exact problem and could not get any of the CR-Rs that I had to work. I looked up the code in the user's manual where it said the error means it's not a recordable audio CD and to refer to page 6. I looked at the front of the manual and saw that it mentions that the CD-Rs must be audio CD-R discs. I did some research online and found that there are in fact differences between CD-Rs that are just marked that and those marked as Audio or Music CD-Rs. I bought a set of CD-Rs that clearly had marked "Compact Disc Digital Audio Recordable" on the package. When I inserted this disc, I had no problems getting the recording to work. So, make sure the discs you use are clearly marked "Audio" or "Music". A computer burner won't know the difference, but your Denon recorder will.
Cdr is not reading blank disc shows disc error
A few small things to try. Turn off unit, unplug for 5 minutes, plug
back in, turn unit on.
There is a product called a cd/dvd lens cleaning disc. Worth the
investment to have around.
Sometimes spindle dvd blanks have a few bad ones.
Check manual, might describe exactly what types of dvd blanks are best to use with the unit.
Just some suggestions, hope this helps.
Denon AVR-2807 w/ Hisense 4K 65A6H, audio issues
It sounds like there might be an issue with the HDMI handshake between the Denon AVR-2807 and the Hisense 4K 65A6H. Here are a few things you can try:
Check the HDMI settings on both the Denon AVR-2807 and the Hisense 4K 65A6H to make sure they are compatible with each other. Some HDMI settings such as HDCP, HDMI Control, and CEC can cause issues when they are not set correctly.
Try using a different HDMI cable. It's possible that the cable you are currently using is not compatible with the Hisense 4K 65A6H.
Update the firmware on the Denon AVR-2807. Sometimes firmware updates can fix compatibility issues with newer devices.
Try connecting the Hisense 4K 65A6H directly to the cable box and see if the sound works. If it does, then the issue is most likely with the Denon AVR-2807.
If all else fails, you may need to consider upgrading your Denon AVR-2807 to a newer model that is compatible with the Hisense 4K 65A6H.
I hope this helps!
