Thermaltake repair manual 500W
Do NOT Attempt to FIX ANY power supply yourself!!! If you touch the wrong thing inside the power supply you will die... Seriously! No Lie... Buy a New PSU...
Hey i resently got an (HP Envy H8-1414) And baught
You need to check the color, and order of the wires on all the connectors to make sure you don't short something out. Just because it fits doesn't mean it has the same configuration or voltage as the old power supply. This is especially true of the motherboard connector.
Computer wont turn on
Make sure the tower is getting power. There will be a green light on the back of the tower where the power cord goes. Make sure the cord is snug and that it is securely plugged in to your power source - I'm hoping it is a power surge strip and in which case, make sure the surge strip didn't get unplugged or turned off. If you have it plugged directly in to the wall then make sure that outlet has power by plugging something else in to it that you know works. After doing all of this, make check to see if there is a light on the back of your pc. If not, unplug the power from the back of the tower, wait 30 seconds at least, and then plug it back in. Hit the power button on the front just once, if it doesn't power up, press and hold the button in for a 2 seconds and release. If that doesn't work, your power supply may have gone bad. That happens from time to time. Good luck, hope this helps!
