F2 flashing on lower drawer

F2 means "motor not sensed to be rotating"
You said "very rarely used" also. The two go hand-in-hand in most cases. If you leave the drawer sit unused for months and months, this can ruin the motor rotor. The rotor comes out with no tools. Remove the dishrack, the wash arm (both simply lift off) and then the stainless steel filer/cover. This is removed by rotating the collar counter-clockwise and lifting it up. Now rotate the collar for the rotor counter-clockwise and lift the motor rotor out of the pump base. See if it spins freely. it;s probably frozen. You also can try swapping the rotor from the upper drawer into the bottom and see if that will work for you. if the rotor is bad, it is a part number 525884P and you can get them here:

If you find this info to be accurate and correct, please rate my answer as a FIXYA.

This is U1 fill fault

If the problem is happening with both drawers (I am assuming you have a double drawer model) then it is likely the water inlet tap is shut or water pressure is not within the recommended level.

The other thing to check is if the drawer inlet water hose is not kinked inside the housing.

The problem could be with the intlet valve located at the base of the housing but you will have to remove the bottom drawer to access it. The inlet valve can be suspect if you hear a click when the dishwasher is started but hear no water coming through provided the above mentioned items are not a problem.

In such cases you will have to replace the inlet valve assembly. Make sure the power to dishwasher is turned off and the water hose is taken out from the water inlet tap. The inlet valve is accessible by removing the bottom drawer from the housing and pulling it right out carefully without breaking the hose and wire connections. Once the base of the housing is exposed you have to move the cover on the chassis pcb to one side. This will give access to the inlet valves (2 of them) and make sure you identify which one is connected to the drawer you have problem with. Take photos as you go along.

The valves will look like this.
cmmiuser01_2.jpg Disconnect the inlet hose from the valve and the outlet hoses and take it out.
A replacement can be found at this site.

Refit in the reverse manner and reconnect water inlet and turn power on.

Hope the problem is minor and you do not need a replacement.

What is the problem when F1 flashes

This will depend on whether F1 is flashing on both drawers or just one (which one).
F1 flashing in both drawers means there is water at the base of the housing which had triggered the flood switch. you will have to get the bottom drawer out and dry the base with towels and hair dryer. Make sure the power is turned off. Need to find the cause of the water leak. Could be drawer seal, broken hose or too much foam in detergent.

If F1 is coming in one drawer and the other drawer has blank display. The power is lost to the drawer with blank display. Could be thermal fuse blown or problem with power board at the base.

Hope this helps.

I have a DD601 v2,

I am assuming the drawer is showing this behaviour repeatedly even after your start fresh with power turned off and back on.

Are you able to see any different behaviour with the shorter cycles in ECO mode?

What you have explained is that the water inlet valve operates and lets water in when you start a cycle. However, the motor starts draining the water out immediately and lthe dishwasher just freezes with the cycle time displaying on the LCD panel.

The question is whether the draining starts as soon as the water gets in or does it wait until the inlet valve stops. Is the detergent compartment empty at this time?

I will assume the top drawer is functioning normally.

Please post a comment with your observations and I will try to find likely causes for the problem. It is a reasonably old model but some parts are still available.

Our F&P DD601V2 double dishdraw is showing

This applies to all DD601 and DD603 dishdrawers.
U3 is either one of the following:
- Drain pump is blocked.
- Drain hose is blocked.
- Sprayarm or rotor not turning freely.
- Motor electronics have failed.
- Machine set to 'LP' on a high pressure water supply.

Often it's just the last one, "Machine set to 'LP' on a high pressure water supply.", as this can be unintentionally changed by a user from an uncommon course of events. Sometimes, due to the technical design of the way the buttons work, if water bridges the 2 "Programme" and "Eco" buttons (inside on the top right of the tub), pressing either one, or both, (or just having your finger in the water) for longer than 5 seconds brings up a special mode that a user, in their ignorant attempts to get out of it, can erroneously change the pressure setting, subsequently causing a U3 error. It happened to me once when I was cleaning the machine, wiping around the Programme buttons.

To change to the proper High or Low Pressure settings:
1) LCD Display on. Hold the Programme and Eco touch switches simultaneously for 5 seconds.
2) Machine beeps and "HP" or "LP" is displayed in the LCD.
3) Push the Start/Pause button to toggle between them.
4) Push the Power button when correct selection complete.

Water stays in the top drawer, Cant be drained.

You will have to clean the filter plate and drain sump.
If problem still there, then take the motor rotor out and clean the rotor cavity and the channel between the drain sump and rotor cavity.

Please rate this solution if it helped otherwise post a comment.

Dd6031 find it very difficult to close top

The likely culprit is the drawer seal which is located at the inside top of the housing.

YOu will need to take the drawer out by pulling the plastic pins on each side to release the front cover. Turn off mains power to the unit.

Inspect the top inside to see if the seal is broken or rigid. It should move in if you press. If rigid then the actuator motors are misalinged or faulty. Needs service.

Hopefully if the seal is ok, then it is likely the drawer had come off the rail and was not going to the end. Put drawer back in making sure it is sitting with ease on the track. Replace front cover and test.

Programming

Your dishwasher drawer appears to have got stuck in some sort of a diagnostic mode. The 3 lights are a code telling which diagnostic it is in.

I am assuming you have turned off and on at the mains power and it makes no difference.

I need to check a few things with you first, but I am assuming the controller is not looking good. The easiest way to confirm this is take the controller from the top one and try it below. But you need to feel comfortable doing it.

Let me know if you want to call a technician or do it yourself.

Fisher & Paykel Model DD603 Top drawer makes

Most likely the rotor is either damaged or there is some debris sitting in the rotor cavity.

Follow the instructions in the user guide to lift the filter plate. Then twist the collar that holds the rotor to free it up. Lift the rotor out carefully and check for debris in the rotor cavity.

Also see if there is any debris in the drain sump next to the rotor cavity. Take a thin rigid wire and clear the channel between the rotor cavity and the drain sump.

If rotor looks damaged you will have to replace it. Costs about $50.

Let me know how you go with this.

I put the wrong soap..

Most likely the flood switch has triggered due to the foam.

Turn of the power at the mains and wait an hour or so and turn back on.
If the beeping continues then you will have to dry the flood switch.

This means turn the power off again. Take the bottom drawer out from the rails. Get a towel and dry the base of the housing from inside. Use a hair dryer to dry out the centre part of the base where the flood switch is located.

Put everything back and turn on the power. This should get rid of the problem.

Please rate the solution if it was helpful or else post a comment and I will try to help out further.

How do i fix an F5 error code on a Fisher &

I am assuming you have the DD605 double drawer dishwasher. Is the problem F5 on both drawers or just one?

F5 code involves the drawer lid seal and will need a bit of effort to check and fix.

Take the drawer out and inspect the inside of the top panel for a black rubber strip. If it is broken or not responding to up down movement then it needs to be replaced. In addition the actuator motors on each side that drive the seal could be faulty.

If you are not comfortable with repairing slightly complex apliances then you may have to call the technician.
