Hello There is always a constant 5v for the device to go to standby.and power on when you press the power button . This flashing is not to reset the device it shows that there is a problem with power supply. the regulators are burned or over voltage ... it needs service . hope this helps good luck

Assuming you are not a trained repair tech, I'd suggest you take the unit to an authorized Denon repair center. Ask for an estimate, hopefully no charge, so you can decide whether or not to pay to have it repaired. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Check the front of the unit ,most have a small hole, using a paperclip as a probe on the gear with a to and fro movement you will be able to work the draw open.

Most amps shut down due to a fault in the power amp section. Often caused by bad speaker, cables or connections. Another cause is a shorted output device in the power amp.
