Connect the 3.5mm cable to the iPod headphone output and the two RCA plugs into any unused analogue audio input on the Denon AVR 1803. Then choose the appropriate input on the Denon, press play and enjoy the music. Be careful about volume. Start with the volume on the iPad low and adjust to suit.
Cheers, Don.

Hi, this is a power board issue. remove the cover and make sure that this unit doesn't have blow fuse. if the fuse is fine, you will then need to replace the integrated power/ main board.

You can get the actual I pod dock for this receiver or you can get a cable that has 2 male rcas on one side and then a 3.5mm male plug on the other and connect it into any open source on the receiver but doing it this way the ipod will not charge and you will also need to turn up the volume on your ipod so the amp can pick it up

An i-pod provides a standard headphone level output. The AVR-1803 has nine RCA stereo inputs that will accept the signal from the i-pod. You need a 3.5mm stereo TRS plug on one end and two RCA plugs on the other end to connect your i-pod to your amplifier. Note: Be careful to select a 3.5 mm plug that has a slim enough plastic moulding to fit into the i-pod headphone output. On your amplifier you simply select the analogue input that you have chosen to use. Be careful of levels when you are setting up. Set the volume of your i-pod to about 50% and set the input sensitivity to zero, press play on your i-pod and gradually increase the gain on your amplifier input. Hope this helps, Don.
